I drove my 2020 C8 Z51 in Ice/Snow mode 40 minutes home through 6 inches of snow today from work to home in Moore, Oklahoma. No problems, just other vehicles throwing up snow and ice on my windshield. I'm happy to see another person not afraid to drive their corvette in the snow. Handles quite well, even though mine isn't awd.
Great video!❤ Thanks for the courage to demonstrate this! I've been wanting an E-Ray since I saw the promo video showing it doing some fun stuff in the snow. I also live in Iowa and would still drive it in the snow ❄️!❤
Nice job. That said, having had numerous spins in my Audi RS4 (AWD) on summer high performance tires in the snow; can be really tough to recover a slide once the rubber loses traction.
I left my E-Ray in the garage all tucked in cozy warm and clean & drove my '23 F250 4dr KR FX4 around in 4H. It really wasn't all that bad out & traffic was very light which always helps in inclement weather. Have fun cleaning up the mess.
Driving in snow is fun! I had my Stingray out on my steep driveway and the traction control did fine getting it back in. The only reason I won’t go on streets in winter around here is salt and brine.
You are so brave Brother!!! I will not even drive my Z06 with the 4s in Temps below 40° I've been too lazy to have my A/S tires put on. Looks like you had a Blast. Great Video Mike!!! Stay safe.
It's good to see how it handled the snow. Got caught in a sudden snow while out in my C7 GS, about the same amount you have. Put it in weather mode, and with my all seasons, it was not a problem. My 78 vette was my daily driver in Michigan and the Northeast for 3 years. No nannies to help and did just fine.
Thanks for the video. I have decided to buy an ERAY over the Z06, from Rick Conti. I won’t be driving in the winter here in Iowa like Kory but look forward to you and Rick getting together next month and seeing what you guys do.❤
It was marketed as four season car! Carlos Lago from Car & Driver had a long term Z51 and loved it. They had AS on was amazing, used the front lift so it wasnt turned into a snow plow.
Nice!! Thanks for doing this Mike. I have not ventured into the snow with my e-ray, but if I had to I would. For now I will live vicariously through you!!
Thanks for the video. I don't doubt that any C8 Corvette would have a problem in the snow if they have more of a all weather tire and not being lowered. In the 70's my only car was car was a Corvette that I drove to work in the Binghamton, NY area. The roads were often similar to what you drove on or worse. You should try it in a 1968 big block, 435 horsepower 427, with the only traction control being your right foot. Haha!! Anyway, Corvettes have always been a very capable car in the snow with the right tires and experience.
If they salt your roads hose that baby down.. I remember back in the late 70's when I owned a camaro I couldnt get out of my driveway. The tires just spun...Cool video....
I was all about getting the E-Ray then I fell in love with the Z06. Mike, you’re messing with my head. Your E-Ray vs. Z06 videos and now this, I’m very perplexed 🤔
Driving in snow is fun! I too daily drove RWD V-8s from 16 and sometimes with summer tires. 😂 It is a great skill for sure. I had my Stingray out on my steep driveway and the traction control did fine getting it back in. The only reason I won’t go on streets in winter around here is salt and brine.
You must do two test when on a snowy road. Make sure the road is straight and no cars. Test one. From 20mph slam the breaks and see if and if how far you slide. Now you now your stopping power. Then you floor it half or 3/4 throttle and see how it reacts. This lets you know your limits and makes it super fun to drive in the snow. Used to live in utah and idaho. Never went up the mountain without doing the test. It tells me if its more snow or more ice. SNow is good. ICe is bad.
Yeah it had no problem ! I think only if the snow was deep the vette will be lifted up off the road and you will get no traction but on this less than 3 “ not bad not bad if this was your only way to get someplace then it would work but most would drive a clunker in the snow .
Stradman does a little more crazy stuff in the snow with his cars but I give you credit to give it a shot to see how the E-Ray does in the snow great content 😬😳🥶😶🌫️😥
Just because you can drive in this, it doesn’t mean others can. It only takes one person to lose it to rear end or t-bone you. The eray is perfectly capable of driving through this.
I don't think you ae crazy. Some people want to own a drivable trophy and some people want to have fun driving a sports car. I respect both, but I tend to lean a little bit your way and enjoy the car. Great video!
Impressive. I'm curius as to how that sno got in the side vents. Its not like he was plowing through the snow and I don't believe it was kicked back from the tires.
No offense, but up here in PA I would never lower one of these cars. Just wondering, does the battery continue to charge during the type of driving you showed here.
OMG😅 you SnowFlake Yanks cracked us up! Here in Canada we'd have driven that All Wheel Drive Corvette like a BigFoot Monster Truck. My 2020 Z51 with it's stock tires goes around just fine all Winter. ( no front lift ) Unless it's been lowered, your front splitter is still 2 or 3 inches above that insignificant little bit of snow on those streets. ...not actually trying to throw shade,.. love your channel 😏
It's the tires (and the lowering) that's the risk, not the E-Ray. Hell, put proper snow tires on her, and you can engage in a winter rally just like this: ua-cam.com/video/ThCN9T_wZS0/v-deo.html
All us frozen northern brothers know a C8 Stingray with proper winter tires (alpin) would easily out drive the Eray on those tires. Tires make the difference in the cold and snow. Hakkapeliittas anyone? 😂
Hakka 9 with spikes on the Toyota Rav4 from october to april. No problem at all living 63' NRTH in Sweden. I would not use sport 4S in winter. When sport tyres lose grip in snow or slush they take you to the lowest point before they stop.
Any car that can run 10's from the factory and you can drive it in the snow is a no brainer if you live out west or up north. I do not know why you would even want a Z06 unless you live in the south and or track it.
You're nuts. I grew up there and Dallas people will crash your car. Oh, its an E-Ray. Well thats OK, as long as its not a REAL Corvette. That would be blasphemous. Maybe you can subcontract some snow plowing with your splitter.
Really dumb. This is why corvette doesn’t get the respect it deserves especially the ERay because or clowns like you not showing respect to the car you actually own!
I think you are showing your unintelligence by taking your 130 some odd dollar ray in the snow with those tires on the tires is what makes you get and go. I saw you get a little bit loose a couple times barely on the throttle if you put the tires on there that was designed to go on there and quit worrying about 100 or 2 hundredths of a second of lunchtime Doing pools it’s silly. It’s absolutely silly to put the wrong tires on an all-wheel-drive car if you have as much money as I think you have, you should have two sets of wheels with two sets of tires one running the summer one running the winter if you could afford $140,000 car you could afford two sets of tires and wheelsso I didn’t get anything out of this video except your arrogance or ignorance. I don’t know which it is.
So am I crazy for doing this?

Taking advantage of this weather opportunity perfectly.
BRAVO!
Enjoyed the video! Thanks for taking the Eray out in the snow/slush, and I'm glad you made it back to the garage without any issues.
Its really about the tires !! Put the correct tires " winter tires " on and it will perform like a champ !!!!
It was amazing to see the E-Ray perform in the snow... Amazing to see where the snow go into the air intake......
You have been waiting for this moment!! It doesn't typically snow in the D. Have Fun and be safe.
Sure enough, and thank you 😊
Great video!❤

Definitely think you’re crazy for doing this! But, that’s one of the reasons I enjoy your channel for real-life and useful information. Much ❤ BOS!!!
Hey! I live in Carrollton, not far from you.
I’m glad you made this video.
That E-Ray is doing a very impressive job in this weather.
Stay safe!
This is the sole reason I would buy an E-Ray over a Z06. Great video!

Great to know I got a allocation for a ERay working on my build now in michigan ! 😎
Love my ERay too much to test it like you did...kudos for doing it. Glad to see that if I had to. It would perform well enough to get me home.
You are so brave Brother!!! I will not even drive my Z06 with the 4s in Temps below 40° I've been too lazy to have my A/S tires put on. Looks like you had a Blast. Great Video Mike!!! Stay safe.
Thank you Greg, it was definitely nerve wracking. 😊👍
FACTS!!! I have Michelin A/S tires and won't drive below 30 with no snow! Great test video!
Go Mike good to see my buddy is waiting for his E-ray he lives in the Reno area lots of snow cant wait to share the video

My 78 vette was my daily driver in Michigan and the Northeast for 3 years. No nannies to help and did just fine.
I’m the only one out here in Massachusetts driving my 2023 stingray all year round and I never had a problem. Now my C7 is in the garage
Thanks for the video. I have decided to buy an ERAY over the Z06, from Rick Conti. I won’t be driving in the winter here in Iowa like Kory but look forward to you and Rick getting together next month and seeing what you guys do.❤

Ooh! It’s a blizzard!
"Sponsored by Valentine One" LOL - when you started the car (such a great detector!). Thanks for the video.
Good job. Glad you made it back safely.

Suprised at those temps, your tires have not cracked and shredded. Thanks for the content!
I was all about getting the E-Ray then I fell in love with the Z06. Mike, you’re messing with my head. Your E-Ray vs. Z06 videos and now this, I’m very perplexed 🤔
Oh, wow! That is a true snow apocalypse!
Mike, thanks for the ride along in the snow. The AWD seems to work well. I would not have tried this but then again im a lot like neighbor Mark😂
You da man! Tear it up!!!!!
Heck yeah! 😊👍
Great video Mike. There is a used 2024 E-Ray at Classic Chev. $116k. I don't see many used E-Rays.

Awesome. Thank you for this one Bro. Yessir

Awesome video! I took my gen 1 Raptor out and had a blast in the high school parking lot across the street LOL
That background music....sounds like a suspense thriller movie....😂😂😂
Mike the C7 Z06 jacket looks good
Thank you Clay!
Thanks. Nice job
“A blizzard “ hahaha.. I live in Pennsylvania, that’s nothing but a light dusting. lol. Great video though BOS, keep’’em coming. 👍🏻
Looks pretty clear to me
Stradman does a little more crazy stuff in the snow with his cars but I give you credit to give it a shot to see how the E-Ray does in the snow great content 😬😳🥶😶🌫️😥
Nice video! Thanks for the video. Awesome info! I’m thinking about buying a eray this year. I Live in San Antonio.
Great vid Mike. Yeah you crazy. Lol
I live in St Louis Mo and the DOT puts salt on the roads. I keep my C8 in the garage during snowy weather.
My car is staying in the garage... Call me Neighbor Mark if you like lol
Lol
Neighbor Mark Junior!
Very interesting!
A clip of this video belongs in a GM commercial for great promotion of the E Ray..
good stuff
Just because you can drive in this, it doesn’t mean others can. It only takes one person to lose it to rear end or t-bone you. The eray is perfectly capable of driving through this.
Good video
Before I could afford a luxury car as a spare, I drove my Corvettes year around. Not a problem you just learn how to handle it. I'm in PA.
Your car might melt. Here in Indiana my Vette is in hibernation until spring.
Lol
I don't think you ae crazy. Some people want to own a drivable trophy and some people want to have fun driving a sports car. I respect both, but I tend to lean a little bit your way and enjoy the car. Great video!
Impressive. I'm curius as to how that sno got in the side vents. Its not like he was plowing through the snow and I don't believe it was kicked back from the tires.
One reason I would not is that TexDot is spraying brine on the roads and bridges. It’s corrosive to aluminum, etc
I didn’t know that! Thanks. I thought we’d be safe since they don’t use salt. I won’t be taking mine out then!
The amount of snow in the video can be done in damn near any car on winter tires not all seasons
No offense, but up here in PA I would never lower one of these cars. Just wondering, does the battery continue to charge during the type of driving you showed here.
We got way more up in Aubrey. You would have been snow plowing
Try control braking and turning
What are doing...driving Miss Daisy around? Get out there and do a launch on a snow covered back road, then I'll be impressed. 😂😂😂
OMG😅 you SnowFlake Yanks cracked us up!
Here in Canada we'd have driven that All Wheel Drive Corvette like a BigFoot Monster Truck.
My 2020 Z51 with it's stock tires goes around just fine all Winter.
( no front lift )
Unless it's been lowered, your front splitter is still 2 or 3 inches above that insignificant little bit of snow on those streets.
...not actually trying to throw shade,.. love your channel 😏
Plow roads in Texas?!? My C8 is in the garage.
You should get really good snow tires and take it serious.
yehaa.........you need to find a parking lot.....to get your snow legs
you're from Michigan, couple of inches ain't no blizzard, lol!
It's the tires (and the lowering) that's the risk, not the E-Ray. Hell, put proper snow tires on her, and you can engage in a winter rally just like this: ua-cam.com/video/ThCN9T_wZS0/v-deo.html
Bet you can’t do 0-60 in 2.2.
lol 😊
And?
Im not thinking what are you doing. Its your car drive it how ever when ever. I would do it to.
All us frozen northern brothers know a C8 Stingray with proper winter tires (alpin) would easily out drive the Eray on those tires. Tires make the difference in the cold and snow. Hakkapeliittas anyone? 😂

Nooo..It's too LOW DOWN.. Bottom's out on everything.. Very fast car though 👍
Somebody do a wellness check on Neighbor Mark, I bet he doesn’t approve…😂😂
If asked I would have vetoed the idea and confiscated his keys ! 😂
@ 😂
Good job now put the car in the garage Lol
Go WASH YOUR CAR ! 😂
Just because they say you can do this , doesn’t mean you have to, unless your in Michigan, 😂😂😂
yes crazy so slow LOL
Not good enough. Get your butt back out there and show us some parking lot fun. Do not be a square. 😂😂
He tried - but there were security guards out in force.
Anytime you drive 4s in below 40 degrees it's dangerous.awd is awesome as is the eray
I’m a risk taker I guess. 😊
clickbait... no ice. took Z06 out without any issues.
U so cra cra
You're nuts. I grew up there and Dallas people will crash your car. Oh, its an E-Ray. Well thats OK, as long as its not a REAL Corvette. That would be blasphemous. Maybe you can subcontract some snow plowing with your splitter.
Boy do you look TERRIFIED 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you don't tell it it's a vette it won't know. It's no different than any other car. Making WAY TO MUCH out of a little slush.
Really dumb. This is why corvette doesn’t get the respect it deserves especially the ERay because or clowns like you not showing respect to the car you actually own!
Texas drivers…..stay off the roads. Lol
