    Great review. Thanks. I'm going to my local dealer today to see the '22 hatchback. They just got the first one (Touring trim) in two days ago! It may be gone when I get there; dealer lots are empty as you know. Hoping they don't mark it up high.

      5k markups on hatchbacks in my area! Don’t buy it at that price pls. I have a 22’ hatch sport in boost blue. It’s a sick car, but only if gotten at msrp or below. Feels premium if you get it for the right price. If you pay over, you are getting what you pay for and no longer a value.

      Just as a clarification, I also bought the extended electronics warranty, the interior protection plan and gap insurance ( I live in New England, where people drive like idiots!!!!) This is why the price is as high as it is. If I was going to go into the dealership to purchase one, I would start off saying I am not paying for the scarcity markup. Make sure that you tell them that is BS, when the Honda website list the MSRP. If they say they cannot, walk out and go to another one.

      @@717PROJECT The white Sport looks good with the full HPD appearance package and blackout emblems.
      AS much as I like almost everything about the Si, ot would be vreat for someone like you, but maybe overkill for me. I would have to get the full HPD appearance package, maybe optional wheels and black emblems like the SEMA Si, but HAVE to get the Si emblems dechromed and blacked out. All Sis should come with that full black out emblems to compliment all the rest of the trim.
      I will probably try to get a Boost Blue Sport Touring Hatchback without the optional HPD appearance package rear wing spoiler. I rather have the clean more subdued look. I would make the front H Mark emblem gunmetal grey, and the rear one, Civic and Sport emblems black. And black out the Touring emblem snd place it on the lower right rear hatch wher the HPD emblem goes. I would highlight the Touring letters with Boost Blue or Red to contrast the black rectangle. Unless I get the black Sport wheels, I would leave the upper door window trim chrome to match the OEM wheels, or have it down a smoke grey like the Accord & HR-V Sport front grille piece.
      I have a set of metal smoke chrome license plates that would match instead of the black ones, maybe a nicer touch on the Sport Touring Hatchback.
      Now, the main reasons I decided the Sport Touring Hatchback is more suitable for me. Firsr, the Bose system and relsted tech I mentioned, along with the leather seats and armrests. And the added cargo capacity I need often. If I can get by without those, I could go with the Sport Hatchback and already have all the blackout except for the emblems. Just get the kegsl ceramic smoke window tint. Plus the added reliability and less potential problems with the N/A 2.0L engine.
      The other reason is that I would probably prefer the CVT as a daily driver, and though the manual is improved, there are only 3 colors. I like the Sonic Grey Pearl, and the other too are nice, but for safety, I want to be visible, especially at night. Also, knowing the Si shifter is much better, near Type R with the rev matching, I would only want the Si if I got the manual. I still like the look of the sedan, like the Sport, but the Hatchback slant nose and grille look more sleek. It is much easier to care for the leather, and wears down less. Also, the center console on the CVT has bigger cupholders and center storage.

    • @jjacob25101

      @@717PROJECT It's not a biggie. I think the Sport Touring Hatchback will be all I need. I know only the Type R will be a hatchback, and I don't see the coupe coming back. My 3 Buicks were 2 coupes my 3 Chevies were sedans.
      The new Acura Integra may have a DCT like the ILX A-Spec and possible a coupe, but more expensive. The ESS stereo they have is great, too.
      But the subdued streamlined look of the Sport Touring Hatchback without the rear wing is just perfect for me, with the the accessories I mentioned in your video ideas post.
      Also, for performance optimization and weight savings, I heard the Si has no spare tire. Probably just the inflator kit. I woul get the tire, jack and tools, etc. If people get that to race, it would be fine. But on regular daily driver days, ir would be better to have the real spare. The inflator is such a mess if you have to use them, and I woukd want the inside of the rim and tire cleaned real wheel whrn repaired, snd that's not going to happen, unless I had the swtup and shop to do it myself.

    • @717PROJECT
      @717PROJECT  2 роки тому +1

      @@jjacob25101 I agree, wish they wouldn't have gotten away from the spare tire. The can of fix a flat does nothing when you have a quarter size hole in the sidewall. Not impressed with the new Integra, looks like the TLX.

    Guys Have a question was my first time to buy a new car like the civic 22 I bought it almost in 28k I did not realize it and two months later I checked the documents and the dealer sold me a comprehensive insurance for $ 2000 with 80k thousands to expire and for 7 years, this includes engine repair, driveaxle automatic transmission and others. Is it a good idea to cancel that and have some money back? or is it a good deal? I know Honda is a excellent car and probably it won’t give me any issue in 80k miles or 7 years, but I don’t know.
