I liked the first two minutes. It made it feel more like you were on the coaster rather than watching. There's nothing stopping you from skipping ahead.
It gives you a realistic expectation of what riding the ride will be like. Should have left the additional 2 minutes of sitting on the brake run, honestly.
B&M wasnt thinking when they put those transitions on a standup coaster. If this had sitdown or floorless trains with the vest restraints it would be a much better ride experience.
@@kooldad I went to six flags last week and wanted to ride the scorcher, but the lines were so freaking long we only got to ride the Goliath. I sold my soul to the devil on that one 😆😆
@EmilyRadar Yeah we had to wait awhile to ride it, especially since we wanted the front row. It was worth the experience though! Goliath is great especially in the front row!
Looks better in red and black, and still has that intimidating roaring sound (at least in this video). My 4th favorite ride in the whole park, behind Goliath, Superman, and the Batman. I haven’t rode Twisted Cyclone yet, but it’s probably up there.
@@ummmbye1228 no. Sorry I just never went to six flags coz there's none close by where I live. In Minnesota a there is a amusement park called valley Fajr. Only amusement park I've gone
When I was little and rode it for the first time back before they reworked it and gave it a new color, I remember this ride was way rougher than it is now. It's so smooth now!
This was my first steel looping coaster (rode it yesterday) and it was a blast. Note to self, I will not scream in excitement too much because I almost pass out (seeing colors and head was feeling fuzzy), but I will ride again!!
idk how old i was when i rode this but i literally went so fast that i couldnt breathe and my legs ached after that as well, the only memorable part was how i had to hold my glasses from falling off
What row did you ride? I'm curious because some rides are more forceful in the back and some are more forceful in the back. The front of this ride was pretty smooth, but I did feel it...haha
We have only rode GA Scorcher in the front, so not sure if the back is better or not. Blue Hawk back is smoother in the back, but Twisted Cyclone the front is smoother. 🤷♂️
well it's really not the ride's fault, it's the horrid stand-up seating. Throws you around and leads to pointless beatings instead of just chilling in a floorless seat with maybe one moment of head-banging on hot days when it's moving fastest-they should've converted it in 2018 and not just painted it. Hopefully they still will in the future.
It is a great ride. It was my first stand up coaster and after riding Vortex the stand up coaster at Carowinds I have a new found respect for GA Scorcher! Vortex was one of if not the most painful coasters I have ever riden. It bangs your head left to right so bad my ears were red when I got off.
I agree! I have a new appreciation for this stand-up coaster after riding Vortex at Carowinds. Vortex bangs your head back and forth every turn and is one of the most painful coaster I have ever rode.
The only rides they wouldn't let me wear it on were Mind Bender and Goliath (except the first time I rode it). All my Six Flags videos were shot in 2021, ao maybe they changed the policy this year.
i’m going to six flags fairly soon. i want to ride roller coasters but i absolutely HATE that drop stomach feeling. i love everything else though. the speed. the heights. the turns. going upside down. how bad would you say the drop stomach feeling is on this ride?
I have a chest harness for my gopro and just wore it onto the ride. The only ride that Six Flags made me take it off on was Goliath and that was my second ride after I had just rode it with my camera on.
We went here today and we got the skip the lines for the Goliath and The Dare Devil.I kind of wanted to do this but we went on fright fest late at night and the wait was 120 minutes so we did not do it

@@timothywait9457 I'm actually currently working on a top 11 coaster video for Six Flags Over Georgia! Only time will tell which coaster I think is #1!

Yeah, we went on Saturday a couple weeks ago and it wasn't bad when we got there at 11am, but by 1 or so it was packed. The crazy thing was when we left at 4 there were soooooo many more people coming in!
There was a Job Fair at SFOG and two rides were open. (Twisted Cyclone & Georgia Scorcher.) If you got hired, you were rewarded with unlimited rides of those listed. Lines were extremely short!

This was my first roller coaster ever and it was so fun!!!
This was the first rollercoaster I ever rode. It was summer of 2005. I'll never forget every turn on that ride.
it will probably be my first ever roller coaster as well since I want to go to sfog eventually and this is the roller coaster at their entrance.
Definitely make it out to SFOG it has a strong coaster lineup!
@@kooldad I will definitely go whenever I get the chance.
I did a coaster countdown video of SFOG. You should check it out!
"Oh man -that's a little painful for my legs".. lol.. famous words for B&M Stand-UP.. sheer pain for all three legs.. not lying..
Lol!
You gotta know how to ride em.
It's a roller coaster that doubles as a birth control device. Seriously the only coaster I refuse to ride again.
Bahahahaha
Rode this about 6 times ,that first drop is magnificent! The rest is very intense yet fun ! My favorite ride in the park !
This B&M Stand-Up should be preserved at all costs. It’s the best one out of all that still exist in the Six Flags chain

My wife and I rode this the year it opened. Much shorter than Riddler's Revenge @ SFMM.
We would love to go to Six Flags Magic Mountain, but its a loooooong way from Georgia.
As I rode this ride, my legs felt like my veins were being ripped out. It was a fun ride, yes, but I wish I didn't feel so much pain. :(

Georgia S Is My Favorite Ride At 6 Flags Over Georgia
My first and only stand up coaster so far, but is a good one!
This was my fav right there everytime
It is the Goliath or the Daredevil for me
I like Ga Scorcher, the only thing is, is that it's a short ride. Seems like it's over before it starts.
Amy Holley i have a gut felling you had an ice cream at the park
It was a cool experience for me on the Georgia scorcher for stand-up roller coaster, but very uncomfortable
This ride was the first we went on last year and it broke down and we were scared but had fun
God I felt my feet burning while I rode this
Best b&m standup
Riddler's Revenge is better.
Haven't rode Riddlers Revenge, but I can tell you that Vortex is definitely worse than GA Scortcher.
This POV makes it look a lot smoother than it is, for me that ride was so forceful and it hurted but it was amazing.
