- The land will be vastly altered: solar panels on the flats, wind turbines on the ridges and new high-voltage towers connecting it all, but the residents of these towns have more pragmatic things on their minds than rural scenery.
Sheep farmer Dimity Taylor knows something of what’s ahead for New England. She lives in the rich farming area of Bannister, near Goulburn, southwest of Sydney. Around her home wind turbines line the ridge, a solar farm sits in the flat and high-voltage transmission towers from the HumeLink project will soon march near her property. She’s not worried by any of it. “We were concerned about the wind farms and they ended up being fine,” she says, looking out her kitchen window to seven wind towers on the horizon.

Destroyed the landscape ? You do understand that that area was cleared for farming in the first place , don't you ? Farms, roads, towns etc . That's when the landscape was " destroyed ". lt's called progress . Just as we cleared land for farming to make our lives better, now we are building renewables on that already cleared land to make life even better .

I wish we could put those that are against wind farms into a focus group, give them all the facts, a budget and a timeline to setup renewables and see what they come up with.
And what was wrong with coal? Oh that’s right, it’s bad for the world. So let’s stop using it here, like we are, but we’ll still mine it, like we are. Well then sell it to China cheap, like we are. So they can use it there and have cheap reliable power, like they are, with our coal. But hey, we’re not doing it here, so all good. Do you see the absolute hypocrisy there? We’ll go renewable while selling coal to other countries to have cheap power. Makes perfect sense to me 🙄
CO2 is not pollution
All this suffering and wasted money for something completely unnecessary. CO2 is not pollution. Plants take it in and release oxygen.
No one said it was pollution but it is the cause of the majority of global warming and if you think anything other than this.... I can't even.
Sorry, we had to cut down all the trees to make room for the wind farm.
