1995 Suzuki Sidekick Engine Head Rebuild Part 9 of 9

Last episode of this series. I set the timing marks to get camshaft lined up to install the distributor and then prime the oil system. Note: When I turn the crank with the drill motor in order to prime the oil system you might notice the timing belt runs out like it will come off. That is normal. Just have to keep pushing it back on. When the belt pulley is installed to the crankshaft then it will hold the timing belt in place. It is designed this way so that the belt will not run inward and be damaged.

Are there more than one firing order for these. The only book I have shows distributor rotor going clockwise. Mine goes counter clockwise.

I am having timing issues a on a 1996 Suzuki x90, 1.6 16 valve, Would it be the same as this, Don't install my distributor until I'm on tdc on no.1,This puts me on tdc compression stroke, Right? then install the distri. rotor on no, 1? If I do it that way, Should my valves 1,2,5,7 be loose for adjusting, then rotate the crank a full turn to adjust the rest? , and after 2 full crank turns, my crank and cam marks should be in line, on their marks, with rotor at no. 4 , is that correct? Firing order is CW 1342,
