I used to have to listen to a sump pump at least once a season. But then I dug a french drain, and now a spump pump can never cause flooding in my basement again.
It is worthwhile to have a second sump pit with a duplicate pump. Each pump should be on a separate breaker.... and lastly full backup power... Overkill? Nope. Even Zoeller pumps fail eventually, but they are my choice, although more expensive.
@@whereisthedollar I still need to be able to run a well water pump, furnace, AC, and so on.... but a non electric option for the sump issue is a great idea 💡 👍
@@PanamaZarelto That's the way to go. I had this happen to me one time. No electric power for 6-7 hours, pump was fine but no power and water backed up. Never again. That's when I learned about the back up water pump as a back up added the Generac too.
I guess I mis spoke. As I'm a millwright for 40 years, and plumbing is at the bottom wrung of things I'm able to do, sometimes I think everyone should be able to do simple plumbing. I stand corrected

Even better, is an water back up pump run by water. No electric needed.

@@PanamaZarelto Got a gas gen for that. On supplied water system, no problem for me.
@@whereisthedollar yep.. I have a 20kw with auto transfer switch.... and other options as well... so I have no worries about basement water

Was that black water?
There is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed.
Been there
Need a battery back up
It really is a shame that you can own a property, and have to call someone for a simple fix. Good job
It's almost as if when you don't know what to do messing up can't be afforded..
Also you act as if all home owners have plumbing experience
