I have my mother’s vintage jewelry from the 50s and 60s. There’s a lot of brooches with matching earrings. There’s also a lot of pieces from the 80s which I love.
Hi Mariana, I loved your video, your pieces and I think you were a little bit sentimental when you were showing your family jewels. I have just recently discovered your channel and just loved it. Beijinhos
So many beautiful pieces with amazing memories. Can you make a video on essential pieces you would buy if you were just starting to build a timeless wardrobe/jewelry collection?
I love brooches. However, some can look “tacky” or dated. I decided to collect family crest brooches/pins. They are definitely statement pieces. Refined and delicate, but eye-catching. Interestingly, men are attracted to the pins. Men are interested in learning about the family mottos. I inherited a set of choker pearls, 3 strands. My Dad’s gift to my Mom on their engagement in 1951. When I took them to a jeweller for a clasp repair, I was told that the pearls were fake and therefore worthless. To me, these 70+ year-old pearls are timeless and priceless.
I love your haircut, it’s very on trend the layered bob. If you want an easy way to stylet use a brush blow dryer Revlon makes one and it styles your hair and dries it in less than five minutes. That’s what I use for mine. I am a retired hairdresser. I wear a classic Bob and in the summer I wear a inverted bob.
Lovely collection my 2 faves is the pearl necklace and earrings set- and the ruby drop earrings- they are beautiful and look so good on you.😊. I also like Mango gold earrings😊. There is another jewelry brand called Napier that has a similar look to Monet, they were popular in the 70s and 80s. The white enamel and gold pieces looked so beautiful for spring and summer. Trifari is another brand from that era
Enjoyed seeing your collection. I am also a fan of what I call “significant” pieces rather than teeny tiny things such as those popular today. I have mostly fine jewelry but also love good costume jewelry. Each piece I have has a story attached and represents great memories. Sometimes I give my great nieces a gift and tell them the story behind them. I did sell a few pieces a few years ago, because I thought I should start divesting myself now but I think I should have kept them, I regret selling them even though I know you can’t take it with you. I like having them.
The best way to store earrings is on medium size medicine box. They are slim and you put one pair on each compartment and very easy to choose which one you want
Love your haircut, looks beautiful… your collection is very pretty too , I always like to watch your channel, you are such a sweet , classy young lady …. I am much older than you , My first child is older than you LOL … but I still enjoy watching and listener to your videos …such a refreshing channel to see such a young women being so down to earth … very precious, Thank you 😊
Hi Sotiria! I’ so glad you like them! The polish is from Londontown (it’s their Illuminating Nail Concealer in the pink shade): www.londontownusa.com/collections/nail-wellness/products/pink-illuminating-nail-concealer
Thank you for sharing your collection. Really enjoyed your presentation. I heard that the best method for storing jewelry (fashion or fine jewelry) is to use plastic zip bags. This way the pieces don’t rub against each other preventing scratches. I also heard that putting anti-tarnish strips with pieces that are not gold keeps them looking new. As for pearls, they need some air so putting them in a paper bag or cotton would probably be best.
Hello Mariana! You have a beautiful jewelry collection! I'm really enjoying wearing my pearls lately! Your haircut looks fresh for spring!! Have a great week!
Zara's new materials are not banned but highly cautioned in California. Even their cotton, linen, and wool naturals are blended with petroleum sludge distillates.
I like the hair really suits you, would look nice with a Betty draper hairstyle, even if they were scissor happy at least you won’t have to go back sooner. ☺️
Yv got to be the earring queen! And look so stylish with all earrings👍Yv inspired me to start wearing some clip ons again so 50s which I love. 💜vintage jewelry is my fav. Milan is such a stylish city, please do some around town videos or take us shopping in Mango or other spots
What a lovely collection, Mariana! I have more earrings than any other type of jewelry. I usually wear my hair away from my face to showcase the earrings. My sister and I inherited my mother's collection. I have the classic pearl sets (single and multi-strand), gold, silver, some semi-precious stones, as well as jade earrings that I love and use often. For the gold earring that has gotten darker, it's possible to have them "dipped" in gold and they'll look new again. I've had that done successfully with a few vintage pieces (it might not work for all styles, especially if the piece has stones). I had mine done in Manila in the past when visiting family.
Hi Mariana, I really like some of those vintage earrings you showed, they are total gems. Also, that fine jewelry set consisting of hoop earrings and a dainty bracelet is amazing and absolutely timeless. As much as I understand the need to buy designer jewelry and would like to own some pieces myself, I always thought that jewelry collections are supposed to be more personal than anything else in our closets, so I always appreciate seeing collections of pieces that you can't find elsewhere. :) I recently bought my first rings by the brand Linjer, they make demi-fine (gold vermeil) and fine sustainable jewelry. Since I found out about them through social media, I was afraid of the hype, but I wasn't disappointed. The rings are absolutely lovely and my current favorites. But, I also hold on to some special solid gold pieces that were passed down to me from my grandmother. My absolute favorite is a statement ring with some sort of dark stone in it. A jeweler made it for her on her mother's request and it's many decades old. :) Since I'm not a mom (yet), I like to imagine I'll pass down some of my pieces to my niece. :)
@@MarianaZelenjuk Their jewelry is quite dainty and it's nice to know that they use recycled materials. I purchased gold vermeil rings so I don't know how long they'll last, but so far, so good. :)

Hi Mariana, your new hair style is lovely and it suits you. Very nice collection 👌 😊, especially the vintage ones 🥰. Totally agree with you about the brooches, they are underrated.
Hi Mariana, Love the video! Parfois is also in Beirut Lebanon… I was there a few summers ago and saw at some malls around the city. And of course all over Europe as well. Beijinhos!
local jewelers can easily polish and gold replated your earrings for sure! in philippines it usually cost around $2 if its not a huge piece. here in japan it can range from about $15-$30
Hi Mariana! Great video. Love how timeless each piece is, even if it is fast fashion. Especially adore the green & jade earrings at 16:40 ! Where can I find something similar? I also feel gold and pearl jewelry really sets itself apart from all the trends over the years. Glad to see your collection resonate that!

Just sharing about the venue, how many people, your favorite memories, and whatever pictures you feel comfortable posting, especially about your dress. I noticed in an earlier video you mentioned your wedding and you got a very dreamy look on your face. :-) Con la speranza che tutto vada bene, Ciao.
I hope Mango/Zara/H&M will one day start thinking of us cool toned people who look terrible in gold......there is literally nothing cool in silver nowadays!!!
Hi Sibyla! I have to be honest: depending on how tight the clip is, it does begin to hurt. When I start feeling uncomfortable, I just take them off, give my ears a few minutes do recover and then put them back on…
I was in my 20s in the 80s, beginning my career, and every store had really great costume jewelry, Monet was a favorite.
What a fabulous time in fashion history!
Yes, I remember all those brands now they’re vintage lol
That was interesting. The ruby earrings are my favorite. I collect vintage. Cheers 🥂

I use broaches quite often and I love them.
Once upon a time, bracelets were always worn in pairs. Those matching ones look great.
