HI Cholly P, First of All your Chart and Indicator settings are Whole different level helped me alot to understand Highs and Lows of All Trading Sessions (Asian,London and NY). Thanks for sharing it. Now, I am sharing why Gold stopped there and went back , Gold is Bearish in sentiment and it just took the Asian High LQ at 2042 level and reverse back to Trend Sentiment to take out some Major LQ to the Downside that left behind. That what I see in the Market. Hope it will add some hints to you.
sometimes it rejects off of wicks that could've been weeks earlier, not necessarily just the nearest one

It’s Gold my man, it don’t move like the pairs. It took the weekly high and then proceeded. Tons of break out traders were in the market as well. Hope this helped Cholly. Your a real one.
Also cholly, sometimes price does things that doesn’t make sense. that’s why i find having a set 1:2 RR is best. A lot of my trades will retrace when literally every TF will look like it’s going to just keep going my way
Price dont react to trendlines or triangles. Actually pivot points are much stronger, I use Fibonacci ratios only and plots pivots based on the previous Daily close candle. On H1 timeframe bounced from Daily pivot and retraced perfectly from pivot 61
The highest wick of the day took out the previous swing high, so a retracement was due. If I see that happen I am looking to sell... closing the short in a demand area. Long story short... it ran into liquidity
Bro. I mostly trade gold now, I have no idea why it didn’t keep going. Only thing I can figure is that it’s a failed breakout and the maker has different plans. I was shooting for the area people went short before NFP.
Ive noticed it's been happening since december last year, all trade coming all th w back to the main structure, i guess market is just going through changes
