What do you thinks of the internal ssd from the new m1 MacBook Pro, they not in off for music production if we want to use only the internal ssd to run everything ? (im talking about daw, sessions, plugins, sample library, everything..)
I know this might be a bit more unnecessary than necessary.... But have you ever tried running a music production program from an external SSD? For example, using your laptop, using a dedicated Samsung t7 ssd loaded with the same software of choice and libraries, etc . & then just running the session completely from that external drive? Is that something you've tried, heard someone being able to do, etc?
@DistinctMastering do you know why that might not work? I see those drives are capable of video editing, so they're fast enough. Not to be complicated, but I'm new to this and was hoping something like that would work so I don't use up too much of my internal memory.

It’s recommended to use a separate drive for sounds and sessions (I use two) but I know people that run everything on one so it may work for you.

I do not think the manufacturers recommend that. I do not even think that would even be possible.
