He is famous with singing amazing without effort, he said that his aunty was a classical music singer, and learned the way singing from her without frown. ❤️
not even close to be legend. doesnt mean hes bad at all, but its all about if one can handle technique and expressing various emotions at the same time. hes not quite there yet.
I like to recommend group Forestella to you guys!! Forestella is a 4 member group full of charms. Each member has their unique sounds but with their effort their harmony sounds very astonishing! Bohemian Rhapsody,Time in a bottle and Scarborough Fair and Champions are my best picks so far( my personal opinion). This group is form in the competition called Phantom Singer program and since then they been singing together. I am certain you folks would fall in love for this group!! Thank you!
Please react to Taeyeon's Killing Voice performance! :) She is very versatile and a highly respected vocalist in Korea and is also my favorite singer. I don't know anything about singing but I like your analyses, so I would be very interested in knowing what you think of her. I would love to see a reaction to Ailee's Killing Voice performance as well.
About his pronouncing I'm not korean and I can understand each word he said he is pronouncing all the values so clearly so person still learning korean can understand his lyrics easily 👌👌💘
I love seeing people discovering MeloMance they have to be my favorite non Idol K artist... I listen to them daily Kim Min-Seok is so freaking talented and Jeong Donghwan (pianist) is brilliant as well.. suggestions I hope you could look at Gaho he is also very talented
Just to let you know, they just released a new mini album and actually performed the entire thing on their channel in one go! It has beautiful live instrumental and is genuinely so gorgeous to watch. The pianist also sings with Kim in one of the songs!
Oh.. Finally you listen to some real vocalist...Melomace owns one of the mellow voice in music industry...sweet and mellow.. Love listen to his vocal When i am having coffee break.. But i still awaiting for your reaction of Ha Hyun Woo...from Dingo Killing Voice He indeed is an irreplaceable LEGEND male vocalist..who can sing me all different genres like his own music..
I loved this reaction video! Melomance is amazing. Try listening to Seo Eunkwan from BtoB. His range is ridiculous. He was also in Killing Voice. He also goes by Silver light. He was in the show Immortal Songs where he sang "That Man" in its original female key, and he event went higher. Korea has amazing singers.
I really love that you guys react to MeloMance Killing Voice! The first video I watched at your channel is the reaction to his and Wheein’s video because I fell in love with him there too and I’ve been following him since. He (Kim Minseok) and his friend (Jung Donghwan; pianist) are from the same university where Minseok studied vocal and Donghwan studied piano (or classical music, cmiiw). Then they form this duo, MeloMance. Kim Minseok said himself that he is obsessed with singing EFFORTLESSLY with minimum expression. His family is genetically singing geniuses with his aunt as vocal teacher or something, his lil brother is a musical actor. Donghwan is also a genius producer and he is one of the most sought out pianist in South Korea. They are soooo talented, and I’m happy that they got the spotlight they deserve!🥰
I am a classical trained tenor and Kim Min-Seok (the singer of Melomance) is my favourite too. He delivered everything with ease - a clean sound and a good variety of tones. There are some auto correct in the recordings but he has very good intonation singing live always. As far as I know they are trainnd in uni in a contemporary music production department. I believe there are lots of good teachers and talents there in S.Korea.
*and your reactions reminds me the first time hearing him. His singing inspired me singing in operas and art songs too. Thanks for telling the world about him and welcome to the fandom! Haha
I have their albums and yeah, long road trips with their music make these trips take less time somehow. They put you to sleep while still keeping you on your toes. It’s interesting
Can you pls react to Forestella? they are a korean crossover group with talented singers, also they did a lot of good covers. (sorry my english isn’t very good)
i love chase & melia reaction, it makes me really appriciate all aspect of the vocals , it makes me learn a lot of things about voices and vocal , with just their reaction , btw i love melomance too because of them and ofcourse because the melomance its just as spectaculer as the fact it is, love it
"I guess we're fan" hahaaha. Omg i love it. I became his fan when the first time i heard his ost song from Business Proposal called Love, Maybe. After that I'm looking for his other song. Maybe you should react to Yoo Hwe Seung from N.Flying too. Super powerful voice.
A few months late, but I might as well comment. You're correct, Melomance is a duo of the vocalist Kim MinSeok and pianist Jung DongHwan. Yeah, it is all this kind of really nice vibe.
Thank you so much for this reaction video, I will gladly join your melomance fandom…. another melomance fan here… So happy that someone talks about and appreciates them… Here are little things I know about melomance. . Melomance is a duo, the one who sang named Kim Minseok and the other one who played piano named Jeong Donghwan. They were colleague best friend, both studied at Seoul Institute of Arts, Minseok majored in vocal while Donghwan majored in jazz piano. They decided to create melomance and debut in 2015 with a self-produced album titled Sentimental. They wrote, composed, arranged, and recorded their songs by themselves. That time they did not yet join a label and they promoted themselves by doing gigs here and there, maybe that's why they considered as indie musician. Melomance is a combination of melodramatic and romance. That’s the concept of their music, so you could find a lot of songs that mellow and romantic that also carried a classic vibe… and because Donghwan background is jazz you could also find songs with swing and jazzy feeling. About Minseok singing background… he already studied vocal since school age, and his aunt is a classical vocalist and lector (if I'm not mistaken). Naul and Park Hyosin are Minseok role models.. he studied a lot by watching their videos, so you might interested to check their songs too… their famous song is Memory of The Wind by Naul and Wild Flower by Park Hyosin.
Melomance is really an astoundingly talented vocalist! If you are looking for someone who in my eyes has a similar level of technique I would strongly recommend you react to Song Sohee - Tearful Duman River. She sings in a traditional korean style, that is quite different to anything we have in the west. The emotion of the character portrayed in this performance always moves me to tears. Every time. I recommend to quickly check out the comments of the performance before watching as there is a short explanation of the history and story of the song. Always love and appreciate you perspectives!
Would love to see both of your reaction to Park Hyo Shin's Wildflower and Forestella covering this epic piece of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody to start off. Great job! See you two soon👍🏼👍🏼💜💜
Despite the slightly nasal sound, his voice has a lot of control. If it's not too much to ask, could you guys react to Ha Hyun Woo's killing voice too? He's one of the best Korean singers with a wide vocal range. I'd love to hear your technical comments on him! Love from Argentina.
Exploded into the korean music industry via his appearance on i can see your voice korea (you should watch that episode 😊). He has a unique sound, which may or may not be conventionally delivered. He hardly opens his mouth 😊. Korean Singers like him completely underrated though in a world of music more and more enamored with visuals (blackpink, bts etc etc). Balladeers like him were bigger in the 80s,90s (legends today) but barely gets noticed today.
this is my favorite reaction of the channel. i comeback every now and then because your reactions are so funny and i can never get tired of hearing him sing. thank you guys
even though ballad is not my preferred genre of music, i can always appreciate a few really amazing singers and melomance is definitely one of them. if they happen to pass by on a show i'm watching or even on the yt algorithm (like this video did) i won't hesitate to watch and listen bc they're amazing. the pianist dong hwan doesn't get much spotlight but he is also amazing and well known in the industry as he worked as a session musician for many shows and artists. i love how they can do their own stuff and come back together to make amazing music as melomance.
So glad to watch you guys listen to Melomance For more then 30 years i didnt like singers using falsetto or too much heady voices becuz i thought its not good to listen But he has power and resonance. Its not unpleasant sound, its so good to listen and mordern. In korea if we remind a singer who is great, we dont think about him but hes very unique and one of great singer Thanks a lot for reaction from Big Sohyang fan
Hi, I have been following your channel for over a year now and I just love your explanations, analysis and reactions! So firstly, thank you for doing this, I've learned a lot from it, you guys are amazing!! Secondly, I would very much like to see more BTS performances around here, preferably live stages. I'm a big fan of their art and to see you reacting and teaching things through their performances is just amazing. Thank you again and again!
Hi, began watching your videos today, enjoying very much, thanks. On the comment 31:20, the singer sounds that way (rather not clear) because the pronunciation is not "Mae" but actually "Hae " in Korean. He is trying to pronounce "Hae" but the final consonant of the previous word is "M" is affecting the next word "Hae" 😊 Hope you find interesting.
I hardly make a comment; but do it because not sure where to ask! Please react to Si Kyung Sung, killing voice as well. I love you guys reaction to Melomance. It’s so detailed❤
You guys talked about one-breath phrases and a good one that I always look out for is in Park Hyo Shin's Wildflower. It's the phrase that leads up to and past the peak high note in the song.
I’m not really a big fan of MeloMance. I can only tell a few that I know about him. I saw him the one singing from beginning in I Can See Your Voice 2015 as a “Naul voice a like” I think. It means he had a voice like a famous singer called Naul. And in I Can See Your Voice, there’s a few others that come there as “Naul Series of Voice a like” every year I think until they stop coming just a few years back and those who came as Naul Series hits high notes like a piece of cake. Lol. But there’s also people who said his high note voice more like 10cm band who also appears in Killing Voice. I’m not sure tho I am no professional to say any of that. But whatever it is I’m glad he who I see in I Can See Your Voice have become more big today.
I really recommend you to react day6! Especially Young K, the bassist. He has super wide range and great controol, kinda effortless too. Their songs are great too!
"Gift" are the song that made me to know them and also made me to become their big fans! Ever since then, when they releasing a new song or sing for a drama OST I would be super excited... I have heard almost all of their songs... They are the best👍👍👍 My favourite song from them are Tale
Now that I'm old, my voice has become cloudy. Singers, listen to their songs when you were young. And there are many high-class singers in Korea because they have to manage high economics in a small country.
Where is the emotion ? Well it's in the fact that u don't understand a word but still feel like crying! He's voice is sooo magical, its like he takes u to another world when he's singing!! So beautiful Insane duo . Oh n make sure to watch a drama where they sing the ost for nd u'll sure cry ur eyes out !!!!
Hi, Melomance's music genre is known as "Ballad" in South Korea, which is not in any way the classical "ballad" from the middle ages; it is more of a genre that is mostly emotional--usually sentimental or romantic. Sentimental ballad would be a quite fit explanation for the genre Korean Ballad, while the "sentimental" part is not necessarily essential, as romantic songs can be upbeat/boppy sometimes.
Welcome to MELOMANCEworld! I recommend playing videos of Jeong Donghwan who is the pianist of Melomance. His piano is also so goooood👍👍👍 Thank you for your reaction video!
You better react to ailee's killing voice it was amazing the way she jumps from song to song effortlessly, I wanna know your thoughts about her she has a powerful voice
Just found you!! Yay!! Melomance is one of my favourite Korean duos...PLEASE PLEASE check out Kim Feel singing Damien Rice's Delicate and The Blower's Daughter....and so much more. His voice is life changing. Peace Love and Light from Beautiful British Columbia.
Yea. Please react to IU killing voice. I love to hear from others professionals coaches or singers about her voice. She post up on her insta telling sorry to her fans as she’s have rhinitis during the recording and not at her fully best but she promised to do better if Killing Voice invite her again. In fact, at some time in the video we can see she’s sniffing and trying to adjust her vocal before singing.
He is famous with singing amazing without effort, he said that his aunty was a classical music singer, and learned the way singing from her without frown. ❤️
He looks and sounds like a Disney prince. Someone needs to cast him asap
Melomance is vocal legend in South Korea btw so yeah he's awesome and extremely talented and they're so humble
he's good but not considered a legend. maybe in about 10 more years at least.
not even close to be legend. doesnt mean hes bad at all, but its all about if one can handle technique and expressing various emotions at the same time. hes not quite there yet.
Even if you don’t understand the Korean language is just a pleasure do your ears to listen to this guys voice
He is one of the best vocalist in the industry but underrated. 'Gift' 30:26 will always be one of my favourite song... Damn! he is sooo good ..
Totally understand you. He sings so easily all the time and so nice to hear his voice :)
Gift is truly a masterpiece. It's so good, it makes me wanna cry.
I love melomance, his voice is amazing, and this duo voice + piano is so perfect.

@@ChaseandMelia I didn't mean to imply you guys were being rude! Love the channel, keep it up!
Melomance is really an astoundingly talented vocalist!

She post up on her insta telling sorry to her fans as she’s have rhinitis during the recording and not at her fully best but she promised to do better if Killing Voice invite her again. In fact, at some time in the video we can see she’s sniffing and trying to adjust her vocal before singing.
that the first time you go so much back you can clearly see the facination ahahah
