Hello Lilian. If a study has not defined gap, then it is not related to your study. However, there are conceptual framework that lays the foundation for your study. For instance, if you review, a government document, a policy etc, these will be cementing your study but also showing that what they had proposed to do had been or had not been done to the expectation. Remember, a research problem is a gap between the existing literature and what you want to know. Therefore there should be a problem identified from empirical studies
