    Hello DR. Wambugu. Thank you for sharing these information. kindly assist me in differentiating an indicator and a variable from the question; what are the INDICATORS of these VARIABLES?

      A variable is a measurable characteristic ... you show variable measures using indicators. Check my lesson o conceptual framework

    Will every literature reviewed have a gap? It is a challenge picking up gaps in some studies.

    • @research-methods-class
      @research-methods-class  3 роки тому +2

      Hello Lilian. If a study has not defined gap, then it is not related to your study. However, there are conceptual framework that lays the foundation for your study. For instance, if you review, a government document, a policy etc, these will be cementing your study but also showing that what they had proposed to do had been or had not been done to the expectation. Remember, a research problem is a gap between the existing literature and what you want to know. Therefore there should be a problem identified from empirical studies

      @@research-methods-class well explained and good to know that where a gap hasn't been defined then definitely the study is far apart from what you looking at.
