Thank you so very much for sharing this, so many forgotten video gems that can be seen with youtube. this is very very special thanks - im a hammer fan and a james brown fan. I'm 32 years old, but this is a very special gift. thank you thank you! Even though James Brown had alot of issues and problems as a man, he did alot of bad things. i mean all of his children understandably hate him. But we cannot deny the positive contributions he made to society with his music. You should see another documentary called "SUNZ OF JAMES BROWN" - its a very elaborate documentary which chronicles . search for it on youtube. you will like i it.
+Cayden McConnell I've seen Mr. Brown many times and when he throws the mic stand forward he pulls it back with his foot on the bottom of the stand and his hand holding the cord. It's a combination of both in unison. I saw him hit a woman in the front row once. He kicked it out just as she was standing up and it bopped her on the head lightly. He stopped his routine and apologized.
to legend for 2 gerneration it tha bomb !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hammer do more for rap , noboy is real than hammer ,he put alway his homis in the sput !!!!!!!!!!
All these Entertainers, loves James Brown however, Michael Jackson was the only one there and MJ brought James Brown ,gold casket! MJ always showed his love and loyalty. Where was the rest of them?
Debra Garner how do you know who was and who was not there, Hammer was there but the media focus on Michael Jackson and Michael paid for it because he chose to, Hammer was closer to being a James Brown replacement over Michael, hammer had that black ghetto soul, and if your not black you wouldn't understand that, and if it would have warrant is donation he would have gladly paid for it, stop pointing fingers about something you don't know about!
Amen, Girl. I had heard things about Hammer that made me dislike him but when I saw this on PBS and Mr. Brown was up there doing his thing, and Hammer looked up at him with such awe and he showed so much respect when he said (remember, Hammer was really known for HIS moves) "I am in school! I want my diploma!". My opinion changed 100 percent and I bought his music and loved his TV show, "Hammertime". So much greatness between those two.
No matter how hard you can rapping n’ soul, everything begins with James Brown the one and only.

Hammer was at JB's funeral if that's what you mean. And a lot of entertainers were at the private service.
jessejames1956 Thank you.

I've never heard or seen any report that MJ paid for James Brown's funeral. JB was was more than wealthy enough to pay for his own arrangements.
