      How's the fuel consumption? I have a 2009 Ford Ranger 3.0 tdci 4x2 with about 170k kilometers , I'm tempted to replace it with the Mahindra. What are your thoughts?

    I am getting a little annoyed by reviews that assume most of us by bakkies to go bundu bashing. I bet over 90% of these beast never go offroad or engage any of those fancy 4×4 features.
    I just love the reliability, affordability and simplicity of this beast looking truck.

    • @SA4x4online
      @SA4x4online  3 роки тому +3

      Thanks @Ntate Mohlomi, yes - you are correct in stating that some bakkies never actually venture off-road or into any adverse conditions as shown on our channel. However, when we do showcase a practical review, we always have this premise in mind. After all - our channel is about 4x4 and overlanding at heart. with the odd bit of in-between vehicles too.
      Pound for pound - this Mahindra was really a refreshing surprise!

      I’m a little annoyed with reviews that dont cover a Bakkie as a Bakkie for work purposes, especially in the loading area. Check the Dodge Ram split gate, far more useful.

      @@seanfenwick Thanks for the critique @sean Fenwick We will bear that in mind for our next review - the #RangerStormtrak that comes with an automatic and electric rear roller shutter cover. Perfect for keeping your tools hidden and safe from thieves. its both a great work vehicle and practical overlander too. Subscribe to our channel to get the release next week! :D

    I have owned mine for going on 8 months and it's amazing what tyre pressure adjustment will do. 10 to 15 % made al the difference in handling and ride quality in absence of a load. It pulls very well and in the Karoo trim is enjoyable to own and drive. It is surprisingly able off road ( I'm a competent facilitator with African OfroadAcademy in presenting the Unit Standards for Basic /x4 and Advanced 4x4). The vehicle'sxsemingly modest clearance, exit and break over angles are more than compensated for by the very low hearing in low range and the highy effective automatic locking Eaton mechanical diff locker. I have very successfully traversed terrain I struggled to negotiate with more prestigious brands due to this combination. It is a very underrated vehicle for the price. Once one gets past the ( and less so as time goes by) Mahindra brand badge, this vehicle is a really pleasant surprise.it is a great mix of old time hardcore 4x4 and modern comfort for the price.I love my Karoo s6, my bro's. • @SA4x4online
      @SA4x4online  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Varun. Yes - you are correct! This is a very affordable bakkie here in south Africa. And we would enjoy seeing some of our patrons overlanding customizations that have been done. Not all off-road and bakkie vehicles are manufactured specifically with overlanding in mind. Hence the continued need to see what tyres and aftermarket suspensions are best suited to these vehicles after they have been purchased or used. :) Thanks for Subscribing!

    • @SA4x4online
