Listening to these wonderful women reminds me that humour always bring allot of pain, it seems to be impossible to find that root inside ourselves if we have never found pain. I might be wrong but humour seems to come with this special way of dealing with pain, one where we spin it until we find an underlying moment that can cast it as something laughable. Something like therapy crafted through our own design.
yes i agree and if u watched all the episodes she interviews her the least because jen is soooo private and i doubt there isnt much dawn doesnt know about jen lol oh i love them both
There was a woman who was quite popular in the UK in the 80s and 90s -- her shtick was that she was quite an odd looking woman who was constantly convinced that men were coming on to her. She did a series of car commercials, I think for Vauxhall. Anyone know who I am talking about?
I agree: Josie Lawrence is a brilliant straight actress and extremely gifted comic actress and improviser. Maybe she is too removed from the mainstream to be included, or perhaps she has contempt for the conventional stand up scene. J Saunders is not a stand up but makes the programme.
i think its funny how on the boys one people ask... whos the comedian at ...... ? whos that comedian who says ..... ? but on the girls one its... whos that woman at ..... ? whos the woman talking at ..... ? just an observation
yes.. for that last 2 nights i have gone 2 ur page and jumped for joy at the next installment of this show!! thanksss
"I always knew I didn't want a job."
LOL!
I am so glad I'm watching this. It's like I can equate this to my life, and by doing that I am learning how to be myself. I hope that makes sense.
This is a fantastic series, I wish I had seen it sooner.

I don't know why someone had to give you a thumbs down for not knowing who Linda Smith is. How juvenille.
We lost her far too soon. :(

Eleanor Bron from HELP! Also played Patsy’s mother on AbFab.
Gina Yashere

She missed one person....Kathy Griffin! WTF? This was great otherwise! Thanks for posting.
What's up with Margaret Cho's face? It's much paler than the rest of her skin. Is she wearing white makeup?
