Guys, Puck is not the Witch of Envy. Yes, he HAS referred to Emilia as his daughter in the past in a playful, metaphorical way. They have referred to each other as family.
An example being in episode 6, after Subaru falls into the garden at the mansion and Emilia asks Puck to wash him off. Subaru and Puck engage in playful banter which makes Emilia laugh. Puck jokingly says, "Who are you calling Father? I won't give you my daughter that easily".
I think you guys are still misremembering what the world believes about the witch and how she came to be. She has not been rumored to shape-shift. That seems to be something you may be mixing up with FMAB. There is no and has been no confirmation that Emilia is the Witch's daughter to this point. The only things we know about the Witch is that she's hated almost universally, she killed the other 6 witches and swallowed them up and she had the body of a silver-haired half-elf.
She apparently could also grow 2,000 shadows. A little tidbit Puck himself tells us about her as if he's speaking about something he witnessed personally, which should tell you all you need to know about who is who. He wouldn't refer to himself in the third-person like that.
Yeah we definitely got lost in our own theories but don't worry we pull ourselves out of it! Thank you for clarifying! I went down the rabbit hole of Emilia resembling the Jealous Witch which made me think she could be her daughter which led to the Puck thing! Then the theory of the Jealous Witch might be able to shape shift (like in FMAB) came when Puck changed forms. Let's just say my brain fried itself but we are good now LOL -Sam

You're referring to episode 18 when Subaru starts laughing maniacally, yeah? That's interesting. I never considered that was Betelgeuse taking over Subaru's body after his death. I just assumed it was Subaru going mad himself and laughing at his own misfortune and incompetence. Though, it makes a lot of sense looking back--Betelgeuse using what's available to him in order to prolong his life. Subaru does make mention of a man laughing that he hates--being Betelgeuse, but he does change his mind and conclude that it's him, but I figured this was more metaphorical than literal.

Subaru clearly says its his own voice, laughing at himself due to how useless he is and getting everyone killed again. That whole episode is dedicated to how much he hates himself so its not even subtle lol.
And besides if Petelgeuse in his prime body just got insta aced by Puck, why would he possess Subaru that he had been torturing just a second before.

Subaru managed to go 4 whole episodes without a reset, not improving his record streak of 7.
Along with being a murder mystery, you can add light horror to that list, Miss Morgan. This show be having some gnarly imagery. The ending scene with Subaru is one of many good examples.

Puck has called Emilia his daughter in previous episodes, and Emilia called him father too, I believe.

I'm pretty sure he said that about the flower because he was trying to deny the illusion being real. But that was better explained in the novels so just leave it at that it's fine.
