Chhath Puja is celebrated for four continuous days
1st day -- नहाय खाय
2nd day -- खरना
3rd day -- संध्या अर्ध
4th day -- सुबह का अर्ध
Chhath is all about to worship God Surya and chhathi Maiya.
It devotes that not only to rising sun we also worship setting sun.
Isme 2 dino tk log fasting rakhte h.

That was 'Thekua' (kind of desi cookies) main prasad offer to God in chhath pooja, it is made from wheat flour, jaggery and ghee,Since the festival comes in winters, thekua is offered, for jaggery is beneficial to health during cold weather. very simple and affordable so every person rich poor offer same prasad to god.
ये मूलतः सूर्य षष्टि व्रत के नाम से जाना जाता है जिसमें सूर्य देव को अर्घ्यदान (अरघा) दिया जाता है । प्रकृति पूजा का इससे अनुरूप उदहारण और क्या हो सकता है। ये केवल पूर्वांचल के ही नहीं बल्कि उन सभी स्थानों का त्योहार था जहाँ नदियाँ और तालाब थे, बस स्थान स्थान पर थोड़ी बहुत चीजें बदल जाती हैं । मेरे गॉंव पर तो न केवल खुद को बल्कि जानवरों को भी सजाया जाता था मुझे याद है कि किस तरह बैलों की सींग को रंगा जाता था, उसे नये धागे की रंगीन पत्थरों की माला व सुंदर घंटियां पहनाई जाती थीं। अब ये सब लुप्त हो चुका है क्यों कि अब गाँवों में न तो पर्याप्त जानवर हैं न ही तालाब, लोग गढे खोद कर उसमें पानी भर के पूजा करते हैं।और आपने सही कहा, कि 25 साल पहले ये पर्व नहीं नजर आता था, शायद आज भी नजर आता अगर मिडिया की नजर इस पर नहीं पड़ती। यह हमारे देश का दुर्भाग्य है कि हरेक त्यौहार अब बाज़ार और मीडिया की कठपुतली बन गया है, हम त्योहारों पर क्या पहनें, क्या खरीदें, क्या गिफ्ट दे, सजावट कैसे करें ..... ये सब अब बाजार डिसाइड करता है। शुक्र मनाइये कि इस त्यौहार में प्राकृतिक बनस्पतियों ( दौरि, सूप, फल,, गन्ने, सिंघाडे और ठुकवा आदि) की सहायता से मानते है जो प्रायः स्थानीय बाजारों पर निर्भर है, अगर बड़ी बाजारों की चपेट में यह आ जाता तो ...........

It is four day festival. First day we eat after bath and eat vegetable of pumpkin. 2nd day called kharna 3rd day evening arag where we go to riverfront or ghat and arag and worship sunset then we come to home and in the morning of fourth day about 2 or 3 oclock we all family member enjoy and worship till sunrise it is festival where we all meet celebrate after one year. And fasting men or women fast for about 3days without water. It is festifal what we wish fullfill
