This is one of the best games I’ve seen in a long time. It didn’t start out as a cash grab or something to grab onto a recent trend for views it was started for fun, and went through with that idea until the end. I’m sure that 90% of the viewers on this channel felt absolute joy upon the release of this video because they got to see what had happened over the course of the two years of silence. Although a lot of people worried - including myself - this seems like an incredibly satisfying payoff. Bravo.
I have never seen this channel, but by the first 5 minutes of this video I had already subscribed. The fact that you took 2 years to make a entire game, and seeing a whole new perspective on how your fangame’s scope got bigger and bigger, the burden of burnout and self doubt, and how you started from knowing basically nothing about game development to developing a giant indie game by yourself (with help on music, learning game development, and your brother help you assemble the arcade cabinet) and seeing this giant perfectionist struggle to create a game wrapped up in a 1 hour video is insane. 16 gold stars out of 5!
hi Andie!! i have been a fan of you since i was 8 and i am now 12! you are such a inspiration to me and i love all of your work!. When i used to do art i would give up after trying and trying again and it would not work. Now because of you my mindset has changed! whenever i do art now and i feel like giving up i think "what would Andie do?" and i keep trying until i'm successful. seeing this video that u did 10 months ago inspires me so much!! i'm currently making a project!. a FNaF room the size of a room from a dollhouse but with a stage and custom made FNaF action figures inside. i am determined into making it work and i will not give up. i spend up to a hour a day working on it and the rest either watching your channel or anime. you have had a huge impact on my life and i am so thankfull for you. you have changed me as a person and my emotions! once agein i love all of your work and i hope you keep it up. This video had proven to me that when you work hard it is always worth it in the end. Love ya Andie one of your biggest supporters - Lolamarie
The amount of blood, sweat and tears put into this project is horrifyingly admirable. I don’t know if I should give you a trophy for the effort you’ve demonstrated, or crawl into a ravine and cry. Well done!
Just having someone show the process of an ACTUAL ARCADE FANGAME is amazing, i can see just how much swear, tears and blood people can put into projects thrybare trully passionate about!
*This was an amazing endeavor of yours, and I speak for everyone when I say that we are all both grateful for your marvelous creation, and amazed that you were able to make this with no prior knowledge of the process of creating a game! I don’t think I would be able to pull that off, since I don’t have the knowledge to create a game, or create an arcade cabinet by myself. We ate all impressed by your final product, and we value your existence! :)*
As someone who wants to be a game developer, seeing this was really eye-opening. It was interesting to see how the software really works and just how much you can get done in a certain length of the time, taking into consideration all the hard work and effort it takes. I also love how you were brave enough to show the real mental strain it has on you, even though you could’ve easily left all of that out. Considering this was the first game Andie *ever* made, this is incredible!!
Just wow. This has to be one of the best fan projects I've ever seen. Your dedication to your craft is, and has always been utterly insane. I truly hope you're doing well, Andie. Welcome back.
I don’t think people realize how much time it takes to make a game, and the dedication you need to continue updating and improving the game. The amount of work she just did is impossible to almost all game devs. The dedication and skill on how this game was made is just unbelievable. Great work and happy to subscribe to a dedicated channel who puts their effort into making great content.
This surely made me realize just TRUELY how hard and long it is. I knew it was long, but 2 years to make an arcade game? The code, sprites, animation, and music? Sheesh
I can’t believe I’ve been watching your videos for 6 years!! I was leaving Primary School and now I’m in Uni! Thank you for pushing through this, I forgot how much I loved your videos!
Congratulations! You’re a game developer now. I’m going on year three of my own project (with RPG Maker no less) and I completely understand the burnout and admire the way you kept going.
Not only did she make the game fnaf themed, she even made the actual development of it like Security breach! Getting more ambitious and more delayed but better as time went on! Respect
I really admire how you put passion into everything you do. I too have the desire to jump into things that are highly challenging. That includes programming! But I simply don't have the stamina to carry me through to actually finishing basically anything. Maybe someday, but the main difference for me is I don't have a youtube audience to share my finished products with. I imagine that is highly motivating. I think it's awesome that you kept on going even though the work was hard and never ending. Congratulations!
I know you probably won’t ever see this, but watching this video that may seem to paint indipendent game development in an extremely critical light completely reinvigorated my passion for it and actually got me working again because I realized that all it was was just a slow process of chipping away at it until you feel satisfied and that helped me move forward instead of procrastinating, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Idk how I missed this video a year ago but I was watching it today and honestly watching a video of you struggling to get a major project done while I work on a major project was super motivating! I was able to get motivation to work on it while watching
This is absolutely crazy. Usually when a channel comes back they make another video of their usual content, but Andie made a whole arcade game 💀 I’m so happy your back lmao
Hey Andie, I know you will probably never see this comment, but as a Game Development student in college, I'd like to thank you for this project! Brings some understanding into what we do and it's a very cool concept, having your own game on an arcade cabinet! Welcome back tho, I missed your content
This is actually so cool! This has got to be the best fnaf fan game with the classic 8-bit and all the range of characters, endings and every detail is amazing and I can’t explain how good this game is
i cannot believe it took seven months for me to finally be recommended this video!! it must have come with my uptick in fnaf interest thanks to the new game - what amazing work you did! this was a beast of a project. i'm so excited to try this game out, and i am genuinely blown away by how much work and dedication you poured into it!!
As a big fan of Faith, the animation is absolutely beautiful and this might become one of my favorite FNAF fan games just due to the Jumpscares and the style alone
Heh, just like a sister to make the brother do all the hard work and then take the fun job of making the game. Grannies aren't the only ones who knit and you should give it a try, because it's very relaxing and can be set aside at a moment's notice and picked back up again when you have a few minutes or even done absentmindedly while watching TV. Also, you may feel like you don't want to make another game now, but do something simpler and a lot of times and eventually you'll gain enough experience to be fast at it as well as enjoy the process more. Although, it really would help if you fully learned how to program too.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a UA-camr that puts as much effort into their videos as Andiematronic does, it’s honestly inspiring. How many people can stay dedicated to something for 2 years?
Holy crap Andie! The amount of time and effort you put into this project is astounding. I never knew how hard it was to create a video game from scratch, let alone with 8 separate endings and on top of all that, transferring it to home made arcade machine. We appreciate you, all your work and dedication to the community plus your channel, Truly the queen of fnaf. ❤
This is my 3rd time watching this video since release, i remember every like 2 months i would check your channel to see if you had a video ( I didnt have a youtube account so i couldnt subscribe) and then when I saw the video I remember being so happy. Its been 2 years but the wait was definetly worth it, an hour long video AND a game!! Thank you so much
I feel like somehow there's something somewhat wholesome about spending so much time on a game that only a handful of people are ever going to have the full experience of playing the intended way, on an arcade machine.
Can we just appreciate how much time, effort, and money they put into this? They didn’t even get a sponsorship to help them pay for this and spent a lot of energy on this. I’m so proud that you were able to finish. I hope your happy with the results. Keep up the good work!
I'm not a game developer by any means. I'm an artist and a fanfiction writer. Currently, I'm working on a rather... Big fanfiction, featuring Danganronpa (pretty much a fan-game, but in a form of a fic with pictures). And I keep losing motivation for it. But every time I watch this video, I just get a motivation punch. Cause "Hey, look, people finish projects ten times more complex than yours in solo, it means that you can do that too!". The game itself looks insanely polished. People working on pure enthusiasm make games with soul in them, as they want their games to be the best for them in the first place. And this will to make it good creates literal masterpieces. Yes, maybe not without problems. But they're not soulless. Indie developers working for themselves (without a will to make a quick cashgrab) make the games they would want to play, and such games are played with much more pleasure (doesn't mean there won't be rage quits though-). I like the pixel art of the game, it's just so... So damn detailed. The shadows, the highlights, the way the sprites are drawn and placed, tha atmosphere they create is just perfect, in my opinion. Kinda drawing for fanfiction at the moment, while the vid is playing at the background. Thank you for motivation, Andy. Thank you very much :3
I envy andiematrics ability to jump into projects without prior experience with confidence and actually be able to complete it with stunning results. I know this might sound like a back handed compliment but I promise it isn't, it is actually super cool to me.
@@LeadLicker yes! Go for it! I've recently been looking into doing some gamedev myself, so I feel the same kinda way. It might take a while but you can do it!!

Hello! Stumbled across this wonderful video via recommendations and, my God, I never expected it to be such a ride! I'm not exactly sure what to say in this comment since I barely type them in general, but I just wanna say that this INSPIRED me. Making a game or any type of activity that involves art is unbelievably hard. Which some people tend to forget, even if they're the ones making it. I myself am an artist who has lots of passion for their craft, but is often a bit harsh on myself. That's why seeing this video not only made my jaw drop from how dedicated you are to your projects and your audience, but also reminded me that any kinds of challenges indeed makes us become a better version of ourselves, and that all the hardwork that comes with it pays off. Thank you Andie and everyone involved for such a marvelous video and a wonderful game. I'm going to check it out the moment I'll post this comment!
Wow... never thought THIS would be the project! This is incredible, Andie. I'm so glad that you are going back to uploading again. You got me into the FNAF community.
Might be the craziest FNAF fan creation I've seen ever! So much love and care was put into it, I can't wait to give this game a try in my free time! Also I'm so happy you are back to uploading content, your presence in the community was sorely missed!
This is like my go to video when i want something long to play in the background while i cook, clean or play Minecraft or something. And no matter how many times i hear the story, i am endlessly impressed by what you managed to accomplish. I always smile hearing how excited you are to have fixed the last glitch or talk about coming back to yt. Its just rlly inspiring :)
The core gameplay loop of this game is so refreshing compared to literally over half of the other fnaf fan games, this is an amazing achievement to be sure, be proud!
It’s so cool you’re back! I used to watch your content when I was younger. I’m so glad that in the time we spent apart we both made our own game! I wish you luck on your future projects.
Andy you are truly a blessing in this FNaF community and as person in general. You do so much for us and ask for nothing in return. So thankful to have you in this community.. also you blew my mind with this project truly commendable!
Andie, I can't even express how inspiring this is. It's always a huge undertaking to make a game from scratch, let alone doing that as your first programming project. Also, it's totally fine if your code is janky at first, it'll get more flexible and organized with more practice. So happy for you and thank you for sharing this journey with everyone ❤
im not just inspired to kick myself into the game dev road, im IMPRESSED, the art level has really helped and the overall mechanism of planning out is really precise, im striving to see myself like this one day
i have no words. this is such a love letter to the franchise and a display of talent and dedication. ive never been more fascinated and inspired in my life. holy moly oh my god.
This video shows the pain and joy of doing something like this. In school I took a class and this was pretty much what you had to do, just not to this extent. I took the class twice and the stress it put on everyone who took the class was terrible. This led 2 good things about the class, 1 was that it was small so the teacher could get around to everyone, and 2 was that chances were you could ask the class a question and at least one person could answer it. The biggest downside was that this was the teachers first time taking this class, and it was new that year, so everyone was self taught, and I, the best kid in the class, became more of a second teacher then a class mate. In the end I would not have chosen any other class over this one, but it was still a pain, I hope if you take on such a journey you will benefit from the small community that is GameMaker Studio 2.
"I finally fixed my last glitch!" *laughs in game dev* oh sweetie. Seriously though this was an amazing, monumental task you took on and I am SO impressed. The rotoscoped animations are STUNNING, your spritework improved tenfold over the project, even seeing all the art as it went on was amazing. Im so so proud of you! I hope your game makes many people happy, and you should submit your arcade cabinet to local arcades! Ive seen whole bars dedicated to indie, artist made arcade games and I'm sure yours would do super well. Also its wild to watchyour hair grow during this video. Really shows the progression of time!
I love how this wasn’t just a video about the process of making the game. You also gave little stories about your life and what you’ve been doing. This feels like a much more personal video. It was great. You didn’t just list bullet points about the process. It was a very entertaining video, the artwork is incredible. Also the insight on designing a game was fun to hear. Great video and great return.
When you stopped uploading i thought you had lost your passion for five nights of freddys but i am glad that after all this time you are still here to share this beautiful mess of a franchise with us. It is so good to have you with us once more. Your video inspired me to finally commit to a project i've had in mind for years. Thank you
This takes a FNaF fangame to a whole other level! Congrats on getting it finished up! As a game developer myself, I can really relate with the struggles you had. From frustration over something not working right, to adding more work, to going through burnout, and even feeling self-doubt. It's something that I've been going through for over a year now while working on a sequel to my own fangame. This whole video has reminded me why I'm making games, and that's because I love doing it, even if it can be super daunting at times! Also, I REALLY like Purple Guy's jumpscare! The rotoscoped animation is awesome, and it looks even cooler pixelated! You did a great job on this! Never give up on your passions, but it never hurts to take a break every once in a while!
This is absolutely amazing!! 🤩🤩🤩 The cabinet came you looking so epic! The game looks like a blast, I love your style of pixel art!! I'm downloading it right now!
Andie it is honestly so great to finally see you return and also good to see that you are still doing amazingly well. I also think making a FNAF arcade game is an absolute perfect idea and definitely something that honestly could bring fans to a whole generation for this franchise. So overall Andie glad to see you making ideas that can help shape up FNAF perfectly and I can’t wait to see your FNAF arcade game idea one day become a reality.
I think this was 100% worth it. It’s incredible to see the effort put into this and it’s awesome to see you were thinking of the fans and everything! This is the most incredible reunion ever lol!
I love the character developement from "For one, I can't math." and "So? I can't do fractions!" to "Oh my gosh math! Math solves everything when it comes to coding!". Congratulations on learing how to math. (I love coming back to this video every now and then when I need to get something done myself and I'm always amazed at how much you dedicated to this project, it's really inspiring)
Hey Andie, when I watched one of your FNAF plush revues I got inspired, so I took the Freddy plush off of my local Walmart's shelf and gave it to my 5 year old, to this day he still snuggles with it at the age of 11. Thanks Andie. Keep up the good work. ❤️❤️❤️
Watching this makes it feel kinda like a less depressing, FNAF-flavored version of Bo Burnhams Inside (in a very, very good way). Its genuinely incredible just how much effort you put into these projects, and however long it takes, I'm ready for whatever you make next, whenever it happens ❤
Oh my god, the effort, all nighters, pain, sweat, and literal tears you went through is absolutely insane. This is not just one of the best fangame projects, but one of the best pieces of fanmade content ever! Good friggin work Andie! This thing is a work of passion!
Probably the most innovative, inspiring, and ambitious FNaF project that I have ever seen. Incredible work Andie, and I hope you have a great return to UA-cam!
This is one of the most amazing and awe-inspiring videos I have seen on youtube. To go from absolutely zero knowledge of making video games, to starting a small passion art project and then actually making an ENTIRE FULLY FUNCTIONING arcade cabinet is INSANE. The detail and the beauty and went into this game is amazing. I know I will be playing it for sure, if not for the art alone. Thank you for sharing this journey with us.
I'm a newcomer as well. Easily 16 gold stars.

hi Andie!! i have been a fan of you since i was 8 and i am now 12! you are such a inspiration to me and i love all of your work!.

This deserves some spot in the Fanverse just from how insane the development process was for this
Imagine: official arcade cabinets
You know, if someone made a potential FNAF World 2, I feel like that would make a suitable arcade game.

For future reference, you can hook up the buttons on an arcade machine control panel to a keyboard, so you don’t need controller support.
