Yeah fr, I watched a Bofur quilboar game earlier where he was milking end-of-turns super hard with Drakkari, getting thousands of stats in a very satisfying way. This is now the second Shady quilboar game I'm watching after watching that Bofur game, and he's skipped like 5 Drakkaris so far, ostensibly without even considering it a useful unit for the comp. But oh well, I'm sure he'll be prioritizing it in a day or two.
this is almost exactly the same game i played 2 days ago except it's against top players and shady actually plays all his spells before the rope burns lol. quillboar do feel very easy to play and very strong rn.
Glad im not the only one who thought Quilboar seemed to be way too strong still. I dont know if everything feels like its been nerfed comparibly yet since i havent tried the other 5 tribes yet, but my games recently have been 70% predominantly quilboar games with people popping stats like yours this game. I would really like to see another tribe be as powerful as Quil is this season.
Playing beast, I can say that they are just as absurd. I got 180/200 beetles with a regular baron on turn 12 before I won the lobby. It is also easier to hit, since you only need one tier five and the rest is tier four and below and almost exclusively beast cards are needed, except baron. Just imagine that that can be up to twice as high by that turn if you really hit.
8:45 why sell gem rat for cycling instead of the crystal infuser? or at least boar gamer. gem rat feels like something that should carry you to or THROUGH the endgame, depending if you find hogrider or not. crystal is just 2 bloodgems a turn, those are very easy to get and cycle
Gem rat seems super slow at that point of the game compared to infuser since he still has no gem engine, but has decent gem scaling already. Tripling infuser also stacks its deathrattle
who cares about tripling infuser tho lol, it probably is correct to sell gem rat, definitely not boar gamer but at that point he probably just wants to look for hog rider considering how strong he is to roll aggressively for it
@@TommyNguyen-mb7jr He had a pair already so he can use triple reward for rider as well. At that point of the game golden infuser is giving him over 100/100+ worth of gems a turn
fair point on the triple, but the point still stands. Tripling it in this comp doesnt do much compared to getting a singular hogrider, which is stats all over the board accumulating to something like over a thousand stats on his board per turn. It’s also evident that shady doesnt care about that triple since he sold it after a turn holding the pair of infusers.

Using the eyes to golden gem rats fills your hand with choose 1s that continuously buff your board which would have been full of boars. Don't really need bongo if you have a board full of boars that buff gems

13:10 why not set up the "choose two" guy to copy the spell? 8 cards in hand, enough space to play out some of them.
This was during the pre launch event I believe so all of the cards were brand new. He def would have done the play if you saw it.
Yeah they are going to make the combine both effects guy T 5 or 6 for sure since they really drive the gem pump for this

Passed up multiple drakari which would have net you a stronger board with gem rats and rider triggers. Pair with bongo and you have a full engine.
