I really like Edmund M's art style, it's simple but twisted. Infact, the main scientist reminds me of the background mad scientist from Spewer, one of my favourite flash games.
If you consider the cat humping a big deal, (which it really isn't) then you don't know what you're in for if you're planning on buying this game for your kid, Edmund is known for his dark humor which we can see from SMB and TBOI and I feel there'll be a lot of the same in this game, which is awesome lol.
A good looking game isn't necessarily about how detailed the graphic are, it's about how consistent they are. Sticking to a simple style is extremely clever in this case. Anyway I think the graphics are awesome as they are, a 5 year old couldn't do stuff like this.
