Great video Dan, I want to give you a shout-out for your channel and how humble you are when you interview people. It’s been years since we rode together. I don’t know if you remember meeting my family years ago. My son Justin is coming up on 28 next month. He was born with Downs Syndrome, he is a stud. He has been riding his own sled since he was about 8 and loves it. He has been watching your videos a lot and I see how much he progresses on every ride. The way you break everything down is awesome. It makes the moves easier to understand. When I try to explain why he got stuck or rolled into the trees, He tells me no this is what Dan said to do.
    Thanks Dan

Hi Dan; Thanks for the vids. Has helped me alot with riding in the back country and deep snow. I am a 65 year old farmer who just loves the back country riding. I haven't had a ton of practice as its 8 or more hours to the great riding areas. I didn't think I was doing anything special except when 2 way more experienced riders have told me that I have improved a lot in the last 2 years. And then this winter I got behind a younger driver with a newer Polaris and let me tell you Dan it was painful watching that young man ride. He went from tree well to tree well getting stuck. he over rode that sled so bad his driving wore me out watching. His greatest feat for the afternoon is when he rode into a deep trench with water flowing underneath. We had to call in reinforcements to get that out. Two of us weren't enough to get it out.
Two things that I really learned is the "no butt hug" Keeping more parts of me in contact with the sled is so much easier. Having our feet in the proper position. That seemed to come natural after I rode more. Another tip came from Brent R. about picking our lines. Have weigh points going up the hill knowing when we need to make a course correction is a very good pointer to. Its such a great sport, not cheap but great.

Dan, you've put together an awesome library of videos. I go back to diff ones at diff times, often. Great tips. I pick up some little nuance ea time. This is sort of a table of contents video. Suggestion; put a screen shot of your complete "table of contents" or "video library" at the end of each video. "For info on sidehilling, see ""Sidehill 101", more info on concrete feet, see "concrete Feet", etc. Listing the specific name of the video that people can search on. That's how I look for them. Dont always remember the exact title, but eventually get there ! Thank you !!

I appreciate as a professional rider, you check your ego at the door, and genuinely try to convey your skill to others. I hope one day to have an opportunity to chase you through the trees!

Love the channel, always very informative videos. Thank you to you and your crew for creating these videos. Watching pretty much all of them has helped me so much in gaining confidence and becoming more and more comfortable with my sled. I constantly ride with your advice in the back of my head. It's even helped me be able to help my wife learn some better techniques. Thank you again and look forward to more education

    Awesome job guys- as usual!
    Video request...
We’ve been practicing a lot and got pretty proficient at the side hill and the down hill track/ side hill through the trees.
What’s the chance of you guys doing a video on up slope travel through the trees? Not insane steep stuff, just moderate climbs through easy trees.
Looking for info on how to to build and maintain momentum, obstacle avoidance/ picking lines, how to stop safely mid climb and reevaluate etc.
Looking for tips that would pertain to non-turbo sleds.
Thank you! See you all in a few weeks!

The only thing a mountain bar is good for is shaking when you get a skipull.
