definitely will be giving this a shot. great explanations, kept it straight to the point with a lot of detail. The action speed graph also helps. Keep up the good work and thank you!
Its probably been said, but there are 2 options for pants, for budget you can go cloth but the meta option will definetly be the brave hunters. not enough ppl know that it gives a redicolous stat profile with 4 Dex 4 Agi its just crazy. For boots, it depends on whats cheapest since i dont think losing some dex will hurt when you can get 5 vig which is 7,5 hp with a hp roll comming out at 10-11 hp. since you can only roll 2-3 hp there is a point to discuss here. adventurer boots with a 3 hp roll arent just better rugged boots. I will open the same argument for Cloaks, getting 3-4 Vig+3 hp gives you 7,5-9 hp on the cloak, thats a purple peace which you probably dont wanna run since frost gives you 2-4 true which hurt way more to drop in a bard kit with that high attackspeed. We always wanna consider, that we can get to 50% pdr with buckler out and our harmonic shield up. So having high hp does make a difference here. This is the main reason why I like to run hp wherever i can, having some % extra dmg per hit doesnt seem to make a huge difference, as long as you stay above the 15 power mark. So stacking hp feels like the better way to add power to the bard build. True Dmg will obviously be the most insane thing with all the attackspeed buffs bard gets, 20% Base from the kit, 8% from Aria and the 18% from Allegro which you pretty much always get off when you arent ambushed in duos or trios. that makes 46% action speed, not counting actionspeed on gear which gets applied to the already fast but relatively light hitting rapier. In conclusion, i think the video is well made and a lot of effort went into it. My critic is, that theres not enough perspective given to the tanky side of bard
i wasn't expecting such an amazing video from such a small youtuber!! keep up the good work! (one small note, its a tad hard to see your face in the face cam, idk maybe thats intentional but some spotlights in front of your desk would really brighten up the place!!)
You Gotta start wearing brave hunters on bard over cloth pants, they are more expensive but have 4 agi and 4 dex base so you gain +1 Ms and a bit of action speed from the agi and have +4 dex free as opposed to cloth pants with only dex as a base stat and more move speed penalty because of having no agi as a base stat(for one of the builds you looked at you mistook brave hunters for cloth pants) also having +5 ms on boots is almost a must as well in solos move speed is just king. it’s also a good habit to do your debuffs before going through a door especially one with no window (shriek of weakness and lament) for potential ppl camping behind it. you should also definitely block more I feel like a lot of these fights you could’ve won if you just blocked one of there attacks and then start attacking, the stagger from them hitting your buckler and your high action speed as a bard means you usually always get a free 1-2 swings after a block. Good video 🤙🏼
Yeah when I'm balling out on a kit I go brave hunter's but honestly I get enough out of cloth pants typically. I Usually Kill people in budget kits. MS is always good, I build it when I'm balling out too. I definitely don't block enough... something I should do more
You have to have surv bow in solos, gotta learn spacing a bit more with it tho... Fights take longer but it's so much safer. If you don't wanna do that I would go full tank instead of that much dex. So wolf hunter pants or just heavy leather for example. You can try stacking pdr a bit, easy to hit like 45%. Also, demons glee setup sucks a bit for bard with surv bow but you can do a mix of true phys and true magic. Maybe consider taking allegro, can be extremely good. A little ressourcefulness with it is a good idea.
I feel like that doesn't solve the problem of pdr fighters though, I prefer the surv bow typically, but I tend to get rushed down with sprint plate fighter before i can get any meaningful damage off
Yea sometimes that happens to me too, esp. if I keep shooting for too long. If you know he still has sprint you gotta be quick with putting your weapon away and start running. Those fights are annoying and long but there's no other reliable way I feel.
missing a lot of dex on every build compared to other peoples builds, not bad tho edit: Brave hunters are def bis in pants slot, wolf hunters are good too with wanderer attire for the strength cap. I truly believe all u need is true phys, 150+ hp, 37-40 dex. Dex effect how fast u play songs
yeah thats what i was saying, on the highest end id run brave hunters but for more general play just cloth pants. yeah if you look at the math for the damage equations all you need is true +dex, its way more dps than building strength anymore
Lulw my stash is disgusting.... literally left over from quest grinding and just not knowing what I needed at the beginning of the wipe XD. Hilarious that you noticed
Why are you sacking ms? Are you just winning dogfights without it? I feel like without at least 307 ms it is almost impossible to kite people, but if im correct from this vid you wont need to kite that hard cause the other stats make up for the lost ms? What do you do than vs a 320 ms warlock or barb who just dips whenever he is losing, no way to catch up to him i feel like, do you just let them go?
Stacking MS is not a bad thing, but I find that lament of langour makes up for the difference in move speed pretty often. I will occasionally get rushed down, but not many classes can survive crossbow bolt + shriek and all in. I always try to get entry damage as much as possible, but this is my go to. I find the biggest L when it comes to move speed is phantomized warlocks and rangers who I'll just disengage and not fight if I cant catch up. Nothing wrong with building it though... You can go agi cloak and make sure you get ms rolls on your boots. That plus your bard buffs and lament will make sure you are faster than your opponent most of the time.
definitely will be giving this a shot. great explanations, kept it straight to the point with a lot of detail. The action speed graph also helps. Keep up the good work and thank you!
Thanks for the kind words :) The wiki has some great resources for stat breakpoints... maybe that will take a video at some point
Nice vid big papa. I like the dedication to the research.

Thanks :) It should get better as a iterate a bit.... and I keep hearing about how OP drum throwing with reinforced instruments is....
