If you like a walk behind, my preference is Exmark turf tracer HP 48 inch then you need to check out Kage Innovations Wheel Kaddy they’re a bit pricey, but once you get on one you’ll swear by and you’ll never buy anything else so check them out. either model that they offer has suspension built into the Wheel Kaddy and they have a 250 version and the 360° version I have one of each and you can’t go wrong with either one.👌👍
As a homeowner I just bought a used Scag 60" hydro. Mowed twice with it. I think a lot of skill is needed to use a walk behind. A lot to get used to. And with a 60" I can do a lot of damage if I'm not careful. My mower came with a one wheel sulky, but it will take time before I try it. I shopped around for a while before I bought mine...used walk behind mowers are much less expensive than used zero turn or stander. Many used walk behinds are ugly because they mow under stuff and paint gets worn. But I saw many for sale with 2000+ hours. And I'm glad I bought a hydro for sure! My neighbor bought a used Toro 48" belt drive recently. Looking at both our lawns, I think the Scag leaves a nicer cut.
My business has moved primarily to smaller residential and bigger 5-15 acre properties, so last year I sold the stand on and went back to using a WB. Bought a new Cub Cadet and it's great. I love how light and easy it is on the lawns and stripes great.
I like walk behinds. I have a ferris fw35 48" and I love it. I recently found a guy that has a crap ton of exmark walk behinds for sale in Texas and they are at a great price. I plan to buy some to fix and flip and use.
I have a exmark turf tracer 60 hydro with a single wheel sulky from exmark and man that cuts fantastic! I think it out runs my Scag turf tiger and cuts better to. Bought it 2yrs old with 600 hours for $2700 it was a great deal. Won't ever sell it. Great video.
I have 2 exmark turf tracers walk behind mowers, a 2016 X series with a 60" deck and a 2017 S series with a 52" deck on it. I love how nimble they and how you can mow under trees with them.
Well if you can tell from my thumbnail picture, exmark turf tracers are our main machines. 52 and 36. love them. Id put a reasonable amount of money on them as the best combo for residential properties in my area. Hilly north GA.
@@CountrysideStrong agreed. first mower I ever bought was an exmark 36 inch metro. bought it used for 400, cut like shit compared to an ultracut, but was still better than push mowing. haha

I run a couple belt drive Toro Prolines myself. Personally I love them. Sometime back you told me in a comment you weren't a fan of the Proline lol. Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the Tbar Prolines?
Yea I had a 36 and didn't like the controls or the way it cut. I also didn't like the odd design of the front. Took up unnecessary space in the trailer
I def have a scag 36 swzt with sulky. About to get the grass flap for controlling debris so i can save flower beds and save on clean up time. I wanted to get something to fit gates and learn my time. And once its paid off and I can afford bigger get a 52 inch and shave time off yards.

I love my scag walkbehind 52 sold that got 48 encore and just bought 36 Wright last year gonna save for 48 I do lot small yards i believe walkbehind way go I walk 60 lawns ever week I hate standers and zero turns
That's surprising. Even the guys in the Gravely ambassador program don't like the gravely decks. They love the mowers, hate the cut. I'd like to see some video of guys striping with gravely.
It really supprised me, on my exmark it mostly just stripes where the wheels go but on the graverly (no stripe kit) it is white line like it was hovering. And it doesn't matter if it the first cut or the 100th cut it looks flawless every time.
Thanks for sharing your video. I'm just wondering for a newbie at age 50. Should I go with a 36" commercial walk behind or 36" Exmark stand on? The reason for the 36" is anything larger will not fit through my gate at home. My initial thoughts: a. Getting older b. Mowing a few lawns per week c. Small slopes (not very many) d. Price. e. Space & design f. Any salesman price gotchas (ie striping, mulching, etc.) Please share your thoughts. Thajnks sir! Looking to make my purchase next week.
Would you recommend a 36" hydro walk behind mower instead of a 21" mower if you can't afford a zero turn mower at first. I am just starting out in the lawn care business.
I am considering buying a cub cadet hydro walk-behind 336 can someone tell me anything about it? And is the 36 without scalping protection wheels a problem?
