Actually seeing the abductors destroy the map makes me sad. I'm glad they went through that detail, but actually being able to see the destruction makes the event much sadder, like the Chapter 1 end. Before seeing this, you could have hope the Chapter 2 map could come back in the future, so the event wasn't quite as sad before this. Also, the fact the island flipping wasn't a cut-scene blows my mind.
Tbh me too, but I think the devs of the event took a bit of a dig at the players by not destroying coral
The fact that they detailed it so much makes me think an event or something we can look at the map again
if the chapter 2 map would of came back it might aswell look like if fallout 4 and fortnite made a collab

Honestly I thought the Zero Point (during the island flip) was just an image or low detail model, but WOW. the amount of detail they put into this is nuts!
The zero point has been taken by my minion come to my lab to get them back

There are so many cool little details I didnt even notice during the event! like the fact the abductors actually where destroying the map and the fact you could see the caretakers walking around the bottom of the ocean Epic always puts so much effort into their events and the fact all of this happened in engine is just incredible I cant wait for the next event!
The map flipping is so beautiful and memorable. Every event epic just improves them.

Why would they destroy the grotto?! whyyy?! also, can you please move the camera into the last reality portal to check out the cube orb and the golden motherships? another also, can you please do a zoom out of Apollo when its flipping. its for a map in making in creative

Also there is a problem with his tutorial it was released to early and it uses the wrong cranium the one he uses the map doesn’t load properly and the skybox is og skybox for some reason I might ask him to take down the video when I do the revamp whenever that is at this point I’ll do it soon but I’m busy and lazy rn I’ll do it soon though and when I do it will be easier to use the stuff

That looks amazing, great camera angles, and especially the last part with the cinematic event footage and replay footage and close-ups side by side.
And this will hopefully proof to people who claimed the Cube Queen didn't explode that she and her energy orb did in fact explode.
I like that there was one abducter that felt accomplished after shooting a beam at the ocean.
Edit: also I just realized in the opening shot of the mini map POV you can still see blevin chilling next to camp cod

If we kept the island for 1 more season there would be a lot of damage
very interesting to see the event from different perspectives!
The fact that they actually put the zero point into the middle of the island
Idk why people are so mad at the abductors destroying the map
They’re just avenging their fallen brothers

It was very obvious that the Zero Point was located dead center in the island though.
But in the IO base there’s another Zero Point wtf
@@joshuaog it’s the same zero point but Epic decided to not put in IO The Bridge base during the flip. Ether way the base was reduced to rubble

I had to watch the event on my switch because I was away from home on the day and during the flip the water bugged out and wad transparent, so yes I can confirm the Chapter 2 map texture stayed there once it was out of sight

So much detail put into this event, it’s a shame you were subdued to a tiny box instead of being able to explore the destruction before the map flipped
So after seeing retail, holly, lazy, and the grotto get absolutely obliterated we can assume they will never return ever again (pleasant wasnt destroyed so maybe there is still hope idk)

The Grotto was destroyed along with other locations in this event by The Last Reality they destroyed Hydro 16 and Weeping Woods and also Retail Row I don't know if there's anymore
