Yess. I was honestly let down on the actual song because hearing it live it sounded so good, but I feel he didn't trust his voice on the studio version and edited it too much.
Plus the guitar gives it much more melody, and makes the song feel more emotional. The studio version sounds so flat and dry instrumentally, and it doesn’t really match the lyrics Corbin is singing either. It’s just the same bubbly synths with the drums and a bunch of weird audio effects that you mentioned.
