Well... the movie was almost completely true to the book which I liked as someone who had read the books before the movie came out. The series, however, uses the same principle as the books and largely follows the story line but it throws in things that are completely new and add a depth to the whole thing which if you have read the books is even better because there is stuff that surprises you. Personally I think the movie and series are just as good as the other I just wish the movie got a good chance and was able to have a second one! Anywho, going on a ramble there, the books are jumbled in the series taking parts from all of them and mashing them together in a good way and speeding things up a little!
i absolutely love the books and normally im one that if youre goin to adapt somethin it has to be exact pr pretty close but the show does so well with mashing and they give characters that are somewhat minor in the books a bigger part. i love what theyve done with Raphael and adding more Alec in. The books beat all and always will but the show is amazing
