Dimash features that instrument, the kobyz, in several of his songs. I would love to see you react to Samaltau. The song is a traditional Kazakh folk song and Dimash sings it with such soulfulness. Also, it features some very interesting sounds of the kobyz!

Igor Krutoy, *1954 in Ukrainian SSSR), singer and songwriter in Ukrainian, Honored Artist and music titan in Russia (billionaire). He is a world- famous composer who came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Dimash said also in an interview about the collaboration with Igor Krutoy that it is important to him that the songs are written in such a way that there is room for variations ... so every performance of a song is a surprise and every Dear can choose his favorite presentation... I can not decide.
The lyrics were written by Mary Sharon Vaughn (*1947, American musician, songwriter and producer. She writes hits for famous singers around the world, including Lara Fabian)

This bowl-neck lute played with a bow is is an old Turkic stringed instrument and called Kobys, Qobyz or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak.
