1. There is no ez to master hero in Overwatch. The fact that u think hog/pharah/lucio/mercy is easy to play well on gm/top500 is what makes u gold player.
2. Hog is really balanced hero. In fact now OW is really well balanced with exception of heroes that can do sth nobody else can do (lucio speed, rein shield) and Ana but that is another story. Roadhog is now 2nd least used tank in pro games.
3. The fact that hog seems unfair is bc he is punishing bad positioning, which is why ppl in lower ranks find him oppresive, even op (bc they dont position well)

Jon M Bc there are more bad players than good, plain and simple. I would love to talk about hog with someone who knows what he is talking about, for example xqc thinks that hog is still op and should be nerfed. The difrence between him and most ppl commenting here is that he knows this game inside out and gives reasons, not "hog is hero for idiots, ez, u hook u kill, im gold btw"

The amount of people that say this is not impressive or anyone can do this is sad. Explain why you don't have 4.3 k Sr rating then. Probably stuck low and can't avoid his hooks even after all the nerfs.
TheUndying Wrath Anyone _can_ do this. Whether or not they can do it reliably is a different question, but my friend, a roadhog main, has done everything shown in the video at least once. And he only plays quick play.

That doesn't matter. It could be 1%. I just said that I've seen him do all the things in the video, therefor the video is unimpressive. I'd say the better part of the video is not the roadhog gameplay, but the editing. What might be impressive is some unedited gameplay that shows reliable roadhog hooks. If my friend can do all these things then they can be edited into a very similar montage, even if he only lands a medium range hook 1% of the time.

TheUndying Wrath No, my point was not that my friend was good, my point was that he was _terrible_ and that even someone who is so bad that they can _only_ play quick play can still manage to do all of the things featured in this video. I'm not trying to say that what's-his-name is a bad roadhog, or that my friend is good, just that the difference between a pro roadhog and an amateur roadhog is a lot smaller than a pro Zarya and an amateur Zarya, for example. I don't know how you managed to misinterpret me saying my friend only plays quickplay as me saying he is very good, or that quickplay is such a prestigious rank, but sure. It's kind of funny. Just, as a concept, a roadhog montage is silly. If a roadhog goes an entire game without a good hook, or maybe a double kill, that's pretty bad. When the guy plays Zarya, that's impressive, because he does things I can't do, but not when he plays roadhog. Roadhog has a pretty low skill ceiling, and virtually no skill floor. This is completely different from Zarya, genji, etc., which is why those characters are where the interesting montages are. But you are allowed to like this. I don't, but don't let my not liking this impact your enjoyment. There is room in the world for people with different tastes. :)

Road hog is a high burst damage hero with a huge health pool, good self healing option, easy to master mechanics (like most other heroes) and a group of people who will defend him to the end of the earth saying he is a "high skill hero". Go watch Pro genjis, MLB csgo or quake competitive if you want to see a game with a high skill ceiling
I am not saying road hog is OP, but he certainly is easy to get good with

The people who judge Roadhog for being an ez character with a low skill ceiling, don't realize that he's more than just a hook- 1shotter. He's also a left-click-1shotter and a right-click-1shotter. The difference between a god RH and a bronze RH is mastery of the extreme timing and skill that are required to consistently pull off those 1shotters (or 2shotters) WITHOUT your hook.
For those who say RH is weak against Tracer, Symmetra, Reaper or other close-range characters don't realize that RH can out-DPS all of them with ONE accurately-timed and positioned left-click. That takes skill.

Playing Roadhog in his SR is not as easy at it is in lower SR. People are hardly ever out of position and it's difficult to work around that. Great Video.

This comment section reminds me of this kid I played against the other day before the complete nerf. After killing him multiple times and shitting on his team he says "get nerfed" in chat implying that I'm only doing good bcuz I'm playing a "broken" hero. He switched to reaper, tracer, and even roadhog himself to try to counter me and he still couldn't kill me. There's a difference between a hero being broken or just someone good playing him.
