This is from 1992. It was the upgraded version of the K40RK/M40RS from 1991. In 1993. The entire line was refreshed and the equivalent of this model became the H40RK. At that time, Matsushita Seiko was moving away from guards with locking clips because they were breaking too easily and unifying the entire models line up to use these guard rings instead of the locking clips was better. Matsushita Seiko first started using the guard rings in 1985 in Japan-only National modern decor colors fans and then slowly extending them to similar KDK and National modern styles., and Panasonic (Puerto Rico) in 1987. For context, the modern/fashionable decor colors fans from the 1980s were those with ABS blades in turquoise, red, yellow, pink, sea foam green with White painted guards, White plain and minimalistic center mark guards. I was a “KDK Baby”My Grandfather was the second oldest distributor of KDK., He started distributing KDK in 1956 until his death in 1983 then my parents continued until 1995 when they sold the business. It when bankrupt in 2011.
Interesting! I always thought it would be made somewhere in early 90s especially it was probably bought around 1993 and 1994 for a new house built at that time but never used
These modes are quite common in Hong Kong (J40RH) as well as Singapore (J40RS). I did remember to watching your videos of Indonesian-imported electric fans, including a Panasonic FV-20TGU5. You should buy an F-EQ405, too. But be careful about flaws on the F-EQ405.
Awesome airflow.

Very nice! I love the blue blades and the brass center. This style of center seem uncommon for KDK.
