  • We start the day with a questionable cup of coffee before exploring the lady buddha statue, Vietnam's tallest Buddha statue. After that we head to a local hidden beach, stop at a strange cafe on the way back for a quick refreshment, then head for some amazing local food in Da Nang town.
    The restaurant we ate at is called Bún chả cá Bà Phiến (Bà Thừa).

    Another great (and hot) day in Da Nang! Is there anything better than cruising around Da Nang on the motorbike??!! Love Lady Buddha. You gotta watch out for those monkeys though. Like you, I sweated completely through my shirt walking around, but it such a gorgeous site. Thank god they have ice cream up there. Haha. Safe travels to you both! Peace and love.

      We actually didn't run into the monkeys! Really is a beautiful place. I'm sure we will be back in Da Nang at some point soon. Thanks for watching ❤

    Sometimes or anytime, food on the road is better than in a shop. Have a good day friends.

    The right name of that Buddhist Saint is the Goddess of Mercy , not the Lady Buddha . The Vietnamese call her Quan Am and the Chinese Kuan Yin . She is actually the equivalent of Saint Mary and as far as I know the Catholics never call the Virgin Mary the Lady Jesus Christ right ? However she was not the mother of Buddha . BTW that statue of her in Danang is not the tallest one in Vietnam ( 67 m high ) . There is actually another one in Lâm Ha district ( near Dalat ) measuring 71 m . And they are building a third one measuring over 100 m high in Quang Ngai province . The soft patty in your Bun Riêu soup is crab and ground pork cake (Riêu in Vietnamese ) , the brown one is fried fish cake ( Cha Ca Chiên ) and the white one is steamed fish cake ( Cha Ca Hâp ) .

    At 22:000, the first one is crab meat and second and third is fish that was ground into paste. The dish is called bun rieu, which is crab based soup. Glad it tasted good for you since i didn't think it is good just by looking at the color of the soup.

    • @HenryWrideExplores
      @HenryWrideExplores  15 днів тому

      @@phamvanhung1280 actually no! We didn’t go to BaNa hills because it’s a bit too touristy for us 🙂 Some friends went and they said it was sooooo busy. Maybe a different time of year would be better?
