How about any one of the battles of Panipat?? Every single one of those battles defined the fates of millions of people of the Indian Subcontinent.

This is the best short rundown of the Battle of Hastings I've ever seen I think. Some battles I'd love to see in future:
    1st Ypres
    Midway
    Kursk
Tet Offensive (tricky one to visualise, hence my request - can't make life too easy for you!)

Its not very accurate though. They don't mention the sources and perpetuate the "Arrow in the eye myth" . The Battle wasn't even fought where they claim. Despite what English heritage would have you believe, one of the largest battles ever fought on English soil and not a single artefact ever has been found there apart from the sources describe parts of the area and Battle doesn't fit any description. William chose the location for the Abbey there due to the original battle field being unsuitable to build a large heavy structure on and we are left with this story that the Abbey was built on the site of the battle! All false.

Hannibals masterpiece Cannea. Abush and surrounding a much larger army on a open plain using dust as a cloak. Or an Alexander series always gets many views. Last 1 Napoleon's supernova V Austria and Russia involving the notorious frozen lake and the massively famous Pratzen Hights. Go for it

I've walk up Senlac Hill in October and even today, with the top leveled off to build Battle Abbey, its a real bugger. And that was in modern combat boots. I'd shudder to do it in leather shoes, carrying 30lb of mail and a big shelid whilst a bunch of axemen at the top chucked rocks, handaxes and spears down at me. Superb defensive position for the Anglo-Danes. Sigh, if only Harold had kept his head down......

"Not all sources agree" @4:35. Let's just take the four early sources BT, WJ, WP G d'A. The BT could be interpreted as saying that the Normans met some Huscarls and wiped them out before starting on the Fyrd or levees that were hanging with the King. The King being killed towards the end of the day. WJ ( William of Jumièges) says the battle started at 09:00 and lasted all day but that Harold was killed in the first assault. WP ( William of Poitiers) says that the Huscarls were engaged and wiped out before the Normans turned their attention to "the main body" ( William's words not mine). Now, G d'A ( Guy d'Amiens - Song of the Norman Conquest) has William being ambushed by the English while Harold set's up his standard on top of a rise. So, all the named sources were not there and are reliant on battlefield reports. Three of the named sources have a skirmish between the English and Normans and all have the battle starting at Tierce. WJ has Harold dying early, the BT has Harold dying towards the end of the battle, Guy specifies Vespers ( 18:00) and WP, in wiping out the first combatants, places Harold with the main body but doesn't give a time when Harold was killed. So, there is broad agreement that there was a skirmish/ ambush that started at 09:00. Where is it in your re-enactment?

Not sure if it’s true, in fact I seriously doubt it, a flat mate of mine reckoned Hardrada and William were allies. The two invasions were meant to be a pincer movement to oust Harold from the throne and they agreed to divide England between them, Hardrada would have the north and William would take the south. Interesting theory, although it is very far fetched. Plus regarding Harold’s death, I think it was a combination of both the arrow and the hit squad, think about it, if you were a Norman knight and you see the English king lying on the ground your going to ensure he stays there,

The audio on this is back to front vs the image. You record left and right audio from your point at looking at the camera, but within headphones and from a viewing perspective the person on the right comes out of the left channel. Quite annoying

This is the most important battle I know very little. I know William was extremely greedy and I read his casket broke because of his weight? The next video I would like to see is why the Roman general didn’t kill Attilla

Anglo Saxon Pike men? Really?? Anyway, the actual battle wasn't fought at "Battle" it was fought miles to the North at a much steeper hill than the gradual rise at Battle. Besides the fact that never has a single arrow head, piece of armour, body part or shield boss has ever been found on the grounds of Battle despite years of searching. As for the arrow in the eye! Another schoolboy error. The Tapestry actually originally depicted an English Huscarl with a spear which is evident on the tapestry but was later "repaired" and made into an arrow. The writing above the figures at that part actually says and here Harold dies below which depicts an armoured English warrior being hacked down by cavalry which is how the sources describe Harold's death. Could do better!
