I just got my Manta yesterday and I have been impressed with it while keeping in mind what it really is. It's my second e ink device but the first that I'll keep. I had the Go 10.3 from Boox for a few days but returned it. It was nice but the more I heard about Supernote's simplicity is the more I decided to wait for the Manta. I am glad that I did.
2:20 just fyi the texture of the screen didn't change on top, its still feelwrite 2 like the Nomad. What did change is the substrate under is now plastic so it has a softer feel. There is a break in period for feelwrite 2 so thats likely the texture difference you are feeling btwn the two. The plastic provides a bit more flex as well
Thanks for great and honest review I ended returning my Nomad for the Manta and still waiting for my Manta delivery. As soon a sI bought the Nomad two days later the Manta made anppreance. I hope I be happy with manta when I get it. I agree with your statement about the color e ink, if that is what you looking for then use Ipad (which I do)
@@jamescross That's interesting, because now I am wondering if I have a faulty/defective unit, because in this video side-by-side, the Manta clearly has worse ghosting, where you see the text actually stays ghosted on the screen, whereas on the Nomad it is pretty clear. ua-cam.com/video/nNDI_G082tU/v-deo.htmlsi=u2pgM-aGr-kfD9s5&t=385
interesting. mine is not like that. that would be annoying. at least you can swipe up to refresh to clean up when compared to the remarkable where you are just stuck with it. probably worth contacting supernote.
Hi everyone! What could you say about reading experience on this device? I read a lot of PDF 's and wonder, if Manta triggers me to rage-jump out of window doing that. P.s. I like writing too and there's no doubts i will be safe. Thanks!
Ratta markets this device as " for those who write" and it is by far not the best for writing, RM paperpro #1 then Boox go #2 boox tab ultra #3 then nomad, maybe the manta is better than nomad but most reviews say they are the same especially when it comes to latency, for me the RM paper pro is just the best when it comes to latency
I was this close 🤏 to purchasing one. I had it in the cart and everything but even with a discount and removing the folio it was still over 500 dollars and I really wish I could try this before making that kind of investment it's a lot for something I just don't know if I will actually be disciplined enough to convert all my work and notes to and actually use it for a productivity purpose to get me on track with my book but I think of it cause the traditional analog method has left me with pens everywhere notebooks everywhere extra notepads and post it notes and loose papers and I am like maybe I just should take the like few weekends to consolidate it and purchase it but I got to wait honestly I just don't have the money being a disabled veteran. I am doing okay but not to spend on something like this but I admit I do like seeing as many reviews as I can.
My previous review of the reMarkable Paper Pro that I mentioned: ua-cam.com/video/_KTQ-9Xs9ac/v-deo.html

Can you do a direct comparison of the Remarkable Pro and the Supernote Manta? I just don't know which one to take
Would you say the ghosting on the Manta is worse than on the Nomad?
no. about the same.

I feel 10 inch is still too small. I bought remarkable paper pro. It’s bigger to read and write
