Honestly, a lot of these missions become a great deal easier when you employ the classic technique of saving your boost for when you're near the finish line, then spamming the hell out of it when you have enough to get over. I started relentlessly boosting when I made it to the second turn after the fire section, and was able to beat this mission on my third attempt
