I remember this in California. I was around 10 yrs old. You could feel the whole city felt empty. What if all the whole city was emptied? That's what it felt like. Because everyone was there!
If you're white and you cannae appreciate this, cannae come to terms with it, or acknowledge this, the problem is you. It is not about color, creed or class, it's about the fundamental value of any human beiing. Yes I am "white", yes I did not have to fight the fight many "black" people have been through, but that doesn't make this speech any tiny bit less valueable to me than to a person who has been through all those struggles. And yes, Primal Scream is brilliant. Cheers!

I find it funny how all references to race were taken out of the sample for "Come Together". I am poor, living close to the breadline but am white. Wonder if I would be welcome at this festival? (genuine question). Coming together is about looking past race.
