Oh my God, Samson' stair elevator is just the best thing ever!❤ For some reason I found it so heartwarming to see Samson riding it!😭❤Sometimes it's just too hard to keep on top of things. What's important is not to be hard on ourselves and just do the best we can!❤
I love your stove! I love vintage and that stove with the "lid" is my dream stove ❤❤ Great job cleaning up for the incoming visitor ❤ PS I have always loved your choice of background music , it's very unique compared to other channels and it's usually very soothing and calming for me Thank you 👍❤
I really appreciate your "regular clean videos", they show normal life and that is something that is missing lots in this instagram/youtube-world. Thanks Carla! 😊
James is a Jack of all trades I love this, I hope to see more videos of your sister's house to see her her herb garden and how she is maintaining it after the mass declutter and to see Becky's new place as well.
Yes, I’m gonna head back to Becky’s place next month! I know my sister’s been super busy with work, but hopefully will film some more stuff in the future❤️
The fact that you’re home is genuinely like this is why I love your channel. So many out there very obviously fake their mess. You can tell the difference.
I can go from a tidy home to a mess in just a few days. I know there are people whose homes are always tidy but i have decided not to compare myself with them. I love the stair elevator for Samson. What a great solution.
From tidy to messy in a few days? I live by myself and it gets from ok to no in a couple of hours. Actually I think it's got to do with ups and downs in our life and the mood we're in. When depressed for whatever reason you see the mess but aren't bothered enough to clean it up. Or when you're energized you speed into action. I try not to compare with my mother. When I get up, there always was a tidy home, always cleaning, cooking, gardening. Without a husband or kid (s), by myself, without the need to cook, without a garden, one should think it's easy. No, it isn't. And times have changed. You're allowed to admit not feeling well enough for whatever you're supposed to do. Be the best you can, but don't overestimate other's people's opinion. You're unique.
James is amazing! So selfless and extremely handy. Love your content. Thank you for always reminding us we're just human and that's ok. Much love and God bless. 2.5k to get to 100k. Let's go!!
@@ladyblue4180 Yes, been there and done that too. We will clean and tidy for others, but not so much for ourselves. Wonder what the psychology is behind that?
Your house is wonderful compared to mine. Depression is an evil thing, it robs so many things that used to happen automatically w/o even being noticed. I’m struggling now and dealing with heath issues. I’m going the right direction, it’s just slow going. I could stay in bed all day if I didn’t push. You’re doing great girl. I’m now a follower 👀
I think that, for a lot of people, the primary reason for them being messy is that they don’t have enough storage, or their storage solutions aren’t practical for their lifestyle, so putting things away is more of a hassle than just tossing it on the floor or shoving it in a corner. For ex, every single time I have a room with knick-knacks and decor on display that takes up valuable counter space, or every single item is in a storage bin in a cabinet that is either a struggle to get to or there’s no space in the bins for new items, I ALWAYS have a hard time keeping it tidy. I binge-watch your cleaning and minimizing videos all the time (they’re so calming), and I always see the pattern of how your lack of good storage really impacts your ability to KEEP stuff tidy after you’ve done an initial clean. Loving the return to videos of resetting your life and home, seeing you and your journey and growth over the years has been so helpful to me as a 40-something single black woman still trying to figure stuff out! Also - try SOS Pads for scouring (they used to be really popular, but now I only find them at Dollar Tree), they take MUCH less elbow grease than baking soda-like products like BKF. I’ve always loved your little apartment, it’s so adorable! Anyway, best of luck!!! ❤❤
Yes, totally so true! A combination of lack of storage space, delayed decisions, bad habits. But having the right furniture pieces really does help a lot. I made so many buying mistakes in setting up my apartment like not having closed storage. Even my bedside tables are not really functional. Little by little though changes are being made.❤️
No the reason for messiness is too much stuff. I see too many dog beds, mats, books, vases and other knickknacks in this house. also the typewriter should have gone a long time ago.
@@rebeccaa.3121I'm really glad for you that you have no emotional attachment to anything! The reason for all of the dog beds is because Sampson can't navigate the wood floor easily anymore so the beds are "stepping stones" for him.
I’ve never had a dishwasher in any of my apartments. Until this one. I LOVE it. I empty it in the mornings so all the dishes go directly into it throughout the day and I don’t have to look at them in the sink. I’ve only kept the cooking pans that can also safely go in the dishwasher. Everything is so much cleaner than my hand washing. After 25 years of not having one, I’ll never go back. 😅
Up until 9 years ago I have always been neat and tidy. Then depression, anxiety and menopause hit. Phew, tough times and tonnes of clutter later.... I have worked on my home for the last 4 years off and on. With each year I have felt better so have done more. This year I can say that I am well on the way to my normal self. So nice to see 'Me' again! Last month my hubby and I visited friends in Queensland (Australia). They are such beautiful people, and their home is as gorgeous as they are. It was incredibly relaxing being in an environment that was both beautiful and organised. They are warm and caring people and their home is for using (I had a nanna nap on their couch LOL) but they sort it out straight away. They had over 20 people for a high tea one afternoon/evening. But by the end of the night, once everyone had gone, they stayed up late until it was all sorted. When I mentioned how incredible they were for not going to bed straight away and cleaning in the morning, they said they have learnt over the years not to do that as invariably something important happens and they don't get to clean up for days. Anyway, I came home with a very keen desire to get my place like theirs, and how I used to have it all those years ago. Videos like yours are also extremely encouraging! Congratulations on your many new subscribers!
I love how you do everything possible for your old furry friend to be confortable in your house... Even trying to find a whole new place for him... This is so sweet♥
You definitely don't have to be ashamed. I'm actually glad I found your channel. Usually a lot of the cleaning videos are of big fancy houses that are already so clean. I also have a smaller apartment and sometimes it's a mess too. So I find this inspiring and cool that you're so real!
Although I'm very tidy and organised person, I watch your channel because I like your personality and your calm and relaxing voice. I agree that the lack of storage is very common problem for lot of "messy" people. Also, as a single woman in her 40ties living alone with her dog, I do relate. Thank you, Carla, for sharing your life with us.
Hi Carla and handsome Samson ❤ You remember my journey with my dog, he passed away at 19 years, and as they age we do anything to make their lives easier, my house was full with rugs and anything that helps him to be save. Love the lift, amazing solution, his so sweet. Sorry about my english, love from Spain.
Hey Carla. Just wanted to say that I finally got around to sorting out my UA-cam account so that I could actually subscribe to you! I've binge-watched many of your videos before when I've been dogsitting and had access to wifi. And I've energetically commented and supported you, but now I can actually tell you. In a world flooded with fake, inauthentic, unattainable, self-serving influencer content, finding you is a delight! You seem so genuine and I love that you show things how they really are for you. That's a brave thing to do when hoomans (especially online) seem to be so full of judgment. Just doing life is such an achievement and an inspiration. If I lived in LA I could seriously see us hanging out and talking decluttering and spiritual stuff and animals and just life! Huge love to you and Samson, from your energetic friend Bree XxOo
Carla, I want to thank you!! I am one of those people that your weekly cleanings and pick ups help!! It confirms to me, I’m not alone!! I’m not weird and failing in life. There is others like me and this is normal. So thank you. You are so great and I appreciate you. Also I love Sampson! His little ride was so cute! You spoil him and I just love it.
3 things: Decluttering, easy acces storage and this mantra: DON'T PUT IT DOWN, PUT IT AWAY. I looks like you just drop stuff where you are. It is not a daily task, it's an all day task. Just directly put things in their home (or trash).
Exactly! Small spaces especially can get trashed super easily. It’s like a few things out of place and it looks like total chaos, but I can whip it into shape pretty quickly😍❤️
Thanks for keeping it real, Carla. Ive been following you for years, it is evident to me how much easier it is to tidy up now that you have assigned spaces for things. You’re making progress, girl!
I‘m sick now for already three weeks and finally getting better 😅, and our home is a mess. Normally I treat myself with one of your videos after cleaning up, but today I just relaxed and enjoyed 😊 Thank you ❤
I am so happy for Samson with his new chair lift! ❤ I can’t wait to see what sort of storage cabinet/coffee table you select. Your style is so very pretty and with every change you make, it becomes more “you.” My husband and I live in the house we inherited from his parents. It’s taken three years to declutter enough of their stuff to make it feel more “us,” but the house is way bigger than we need. There is a ton of storage in the kitchen, big closets in all the bedrooms, a linen closet and coat closet - enough that we still haven’t finished decluttering because most of what’s left is hidden away. I look at your sweet apartment and envy the compact size. Some day we will move to a house that’s more realistic for our needs. One thing I will say for three years of decluttering is, I have no desire for more stuff! To summarize, your apartment is wonderful, James is amazing, Samson is a love bug, and Mack is so generous with his fellow UA-cam friends. Congratulations on your new subscribers!
I can see a beautiful armoire in your lounge space. Perfect for even housing the TV along with lots of other items that create clutter. Get a coffee table like a tea chest so yo7 can store more items in there and a closed cupboard/ small robe behind your desk would be perfect for all your office paraphernalia.
Thank you for not pre-cleaning. Because you are genuine and open with your home, struggles and successes this is why I (we) return to watch week after week.
Sometimes I just need a break from the good habits and to rebel a little bit. It’s always a bit more work to come back, but sometimes it really helps me actually keep up on the habits if I know I can rebel once in a while. And it also helps me see what I want to change about my space more clearly because it’s really obvious what’s absolutely not working when a big mess happens! Love your channel and the kindness of your community ❤❤❤
I used to have those habits too. Once I really stuck with the idea that my grandmother taught me, a place for everything and everything in its place, it really did make things so much easier. For example, dishes do not sit anywhere but in the sink or next to it and once there’s enough that they are in the way at all, I immediately take care of them.
Samson did look super happy in the chair lift. James is so clever for building that! I am constantly amazed at how talented people are! You apartment IS super cute and I'm sure your friend will fall in love with it. You'll be happy with it clean.
I've got the flu! BOO! I've been down for the count since Friday! I'm so glad I'm a minimalist because, other than dusting & vacuuming (and doing a deep clean in the bathroom), my place still looks good! I can give myself the grace to take care of myself and feel better! I don't care how messy you let your place get, I love watching you clean it up! It's so gratifying!
It's a good idea to have a "clutter-basket". I have my two "drawers of horror". And when they are full, at some point I have to look through at least the top of it. 😉 And then I have the luck to have 2 storage rooms either side of my apartment. I live at the top floor, so beneath the roof on eather side there are 2 little rooms. One is for all my clothes, sheets, suitcases etc., and that's fine. The other one is... well....a place to store things one would have in the garage or in a cellar. Unfortunately one can also open it, throw something in the far end corner and forget about it. But still I am lucky to have enough storage room.
you should put one of those cord wraps on the back of that sideboard in the living room for all the cords you have there. Your place is so cute and cleans up so nicely. You truly inspire me to organize and let go of stuff
I use to love keeping lil nice gadgets on my kitchen counter and also bathroom sink but I changed them around constantly finally I decided to just move them keep maybe 1 or 2 needed items like my body wash & tooth brush holder & in kitchen a sponge dish & a bottle of dish liquid it’s a more fresh minimal look & feel which I needed now I’m figuring out the coffee table😌
OMG, Samson enjoying his elevator ride. How adorable! And I'm team hand wash too. We had a dishwasher growing up, but we only used it a couple of times a year after holiday parties. Ours was a dish storage unit. And I think creative people are more prone to make a mess and that's a good thing. Don't be hard on yourself. It's part of the creative process. And it's so satisfying to clean up!
The first thing I do in the morning when I get up is make my bed, if the rest of my day falls apart at least when I go into my bedroom it is tidy and welcoming. This small act can make a huge impact on your mood.
I came from Mack's channel at Midwest Cleaning (I'm behind😂) and I love the way you just seem to naturally move the furniture to clean behind it. I remember growing up we had hardwood and my mom would move furniture easily. I have carpet everywhere so it's SO much harder to move things. Thank you for your calming videos that involve REAL LIFE! ❤
Precious Samson riding in his stair elevator💕🐾Samson would do the best job on the dishes. He’s pure sweetness!! Great video. Your place looks stunning!
Isn't it interesting how we will go "balls to the wall" lol! sorry - but it's the perfect expression for this I think - to get our place into it's most beautiful state for company coming but won't keep it that way for ourselves? I have always thought after doing the mad dash clean & the company leaves - why couldn't my place have looked like this just for me?? It truly is a form of self care. It's saying to ourselves - I am important enough to put whatever it is back in it's place, do the dishes & wipe down the counters or even a quick once over on the bathroom! And as you have pointed out & proven so many times Carla - the less stuff we have, the easier it is for everything to have a place & then the easier it is to tidy up! I feel at least for myself. Keeping up w/tidying & cleaning tends to be cyclical just like most things in life. Our mental state can definitely dictate how consistent we are w/doing each thing on the daily. We can be going great keeping up & then all it takes is that one day we don't feel like making our bed or one night we don't feel like doing the dishes & the domino effect is on...
I love your videos, they are always so calming to watch/ listen to. I struggle with perfectionism and my apartment can get super messy and neglected once I fall behind in tidying. Also, if a storage solution is not very convenient, I’m more likely to leave an item out, most often on my dinner table. I’m working on finding the optimal storage solutions and I’m decluttering along the way and have learned a lot from you!
Samson riding up the stairs in his elevator made my heart soar!!! I too have arthritis and know of the pains. I love how much you love King Side Eye! You're a great furrMOM & that's way more important than having a pristine home! We love you, Carla!!!!❤❤❤❤
I love that you take such good care of sweet little Samson! It’s so hard to see our pets age, and he’s lucky to be with someone who loves him so much (and I know you’re very lucky, too!)! Best to both of you!
Your cleaning/decluttering content is always motivating and lovely; automatic "like" every time and wishing I could give tons more the moment Samson makes an appearance. 😜 I just wanted to say I love listening to your narration, as well. You speak so eloquently. I could easily imagine you narrating audiobooks or something! 😅 Anyway, thank you for yet another inspiring, friendly video. -B.
I didn’t grow up with a dishwasher either. As an adult all of my places have had them. I used the first one with excitement only to learn that it takes more time to properly rinse, load, and unload it than it takes to simply wash in the sink. Old habits dont need to die! I find it much more efficient to hand wash. My kids agree. We use the dishwasher for food storage, since my house doesn’t have a pantry. We use cabinets and …the dishwasher. 😂
I have a dish washer and don't use it either. I actually look at doing dishes as a gratitude and meditation practice. Besides, I have one of those Caraway cookware sets and refuse to let them stay dirty for long. They are like art. 😆
I love the changes you are making in your home Carla. Thank you James for the ramp for Samson. I think we all learn each time we straighten, clean, declutter our things. Those items we shouldn't have bought never get tire or give up learning. Some things bring us happiness in whatever season we are in. Keeping on sharing Carla and Samson!
I just love the color of your bedroom walls. From such a mess to a beautiful apartment. Great job and loved your new transportation for Samson. Where there is a will you managed to find a way for your dogs safety. Have a great day.
You do you girl ! For me, my continual messiness got pretty much solved by getting ride of things. I still don’t get the clothes all the way to the hamper, but I have to straighten stuff up because I run out of clothes. Same for dishes and everything else. And with less stuff, a five minute pickup takes care of things. Regarding dishwasher, I have have them for years and they are a waste of space for me.
We’ve all been there with letting things go to the point you don’t want to open the door to anybody! 😅 But, most of the times it’s because we’re so busy combined with other things (health, family obligations, etc) taking priority over cleaning. As you go further down the road to minimalism, it becomes harder for the messiness to creep up on ya! I don’t watch cleaning channels, but I really appreciate your ability to help others with their organizing!
I think an armoire would be great for you-inside you can both hang things or just have all shelves. Some armoires have drawers on the bottom and two big doors on top. Then, on the very top of the armoire you can display things -I love huge baskets with a lid for top of the armoire-good place for out of season clothes or blankets. You can also put a bushy plant like a fern on top with some books, and a small light. An armoire would be a focal point for your living room.
Carla! Hope you and Samson are doing okay in this hot weather. Your place looks great! I laughed about Samson refusing to ride down in his doggie escalator, but calmly riding up. Have a great day. ❤
I was really happy for you when Mac mentioned you. They have a great ethic and community ❤ You are doing great. I am decorating my bedroom and having an entire flat storage re-organisation as well 😅 😂 each time a different layer peels away ❤
I do the same thing. I can keep everything nice and tidy for awhile and then I get tired of always putting everything away. And before you know it, it looks like a tornado went through my apartment. So you're not alone girl! Love your videos. 🙂❤❤🌻
Carla I find your decluttering videos motivating. I think when people are at home alot this seems to promote messy rooms unless we are in the habit of putting away everything at the time. Most of us don't. I need to be in the mood to clean or have a reason like visitors coming over. But when it is clean it feels so nice.
Samsons stair elevator is the bomb ❤. Clearly a much loved member of the family. One thing I took on board from another utuber was if it is only going to take a minute do it now. Has helped me put things away. I also allocate 20 mins every now and then to do a task. Amazing what you can get done in that time.
Samson could do prewash-lick the plates etc. you are so natural and kind. When my siblings and I went out to our own homes we would clean but when our Parents were coming we would do a "Mother" cleaning! You are a good dog owner-having a stair glider for Samson!
My place gets messy fast, too. Each time I have it very clean I'm so happy and I feel so good, and I tell myself I'm going to keep everything clean this time! But life happens and once it starts to get untidy / dirty then my motivation goes down because I start to get depressed. It's a cycle. And of course getting blasted with a bad week at work, or a few migraine days, throws a wrench in everything, too. Sometimes I just can't motivate myself to spend even 15 minutes tidying. But at some point I get caffeinated, put on some tunes, and get to cleaning. The decluttering and organizing pays off, too, so it's easier. I just finished a little reset and now I'm rewarding myself by watching some UA-cam. The stair chair for Samson is awesome! Your sweet relationship with him is one of the many things that keeps me coming back. :)
Hi!! I had an idea, well I really got it from Gretchin Rubin in her The Happiness Project. What if you made a shrine on a shelf, even if you had to add a shelf somewhere, with the typewriter and other wonderful momentos that remind you of your mom and the things of hers that you love? Then you're honoring your moms memory and get to display beatufil things that make you happy and remind you of her!
SAME!!!!! I adore you because you are the REAL deal, just like us! Homes are meant to be relaxed and LIVED in, who wants to spend 24/7 picking up, straightening, etc when you can just chill. I know it's harder to do when you let it goooooooo but we don't need to be so hard on ourselves about it. Not bad habits just choices that work for us!!! Watching this as I clean because my granddaughters coming over, lol! Samson's doggie elevator is divine, you are such a great dog mom!
Thank you James for building the lift for our fur nephew Samson. It's awesome!!! Carla, I love the new color on the walls in your bedroom. When the sunlight hits it; it appears to be a pastel blue. Is that true? Or at least it comes across as such on tv. Either way, it's beautiful. 🩵🩵🩵 Thank you for another great video. I appreciate how you show, that once everything has a proper home, it's really quicker to tidy up in the long run. I'm looking forward to reaching that level of decluttering & organization. Thank you for the motivation, as always. May you enjoy the rest of your Sunday, and your week ahead...On Purpose!!!
Love love love Samson's stair lift!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I found your channel about 8 months ago, and I just love you and Samson 😊😊😊😊. You always get a thumbs up from me❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Omg i love how your stove has a drop down covering! I would love a vintage stove. I think with some kind of a big storage piece youll be all set with keeping things up and of course continual purging feels good as something new enters🌼
😀 Carla, when you clean/tidy, you do a good job. We see the difference. You are right when you said old habits are hard to break. We all experience the messiness from time to time until we find a solution or routine. My desire is not to be that way, BUT sometimes life happens and things get out of control. So, if I'm going to be temporarily messy, I only allow that for one room, meaning I have to clean the others every day, if needed. I can't allow all areas to be untidy. I've worked too hard and decluttered too much alongside you to go back. Once you get your storage units and the other items you need, your place is going to be more lovelier than it already is. Keep up the good work and sharing the videos! You inspire us! 🤗🌻
Very relatable. My apartment is about the same size as yours. I used to have a very small dishwasher that I put on top of my washing machine in my boiler room. It was a pain to carry plates et cetera from my kitchen to that room. In the end I sold it to a student. I am pretty tidy everywhere else, but my dishes do pile up. For storage I think an ottoman at the end of your bed might be practical for bedding. And maybe a small secretaire desk with drawers placed against your bedroom wall might give some extra storage plus a work space. I work from my 'dining table' as I have a very small bedroom. Keeping it real!
You could use a high boy or something tall only because a lot of furniture in your living room is low. Love mine. One part stores paper files, another seasonal fabrics / throws. And if its french under tones it could be a good place for art / vases/ ect. I hope you have a lot of fun hunting down the perfect piece.
I’ve never had a dishwasher, and now I do in my apartment… but I’m a single person and never have enough dishes to fill the washer, sometimes I only eat one meal at home. So I handwash everything, takes me five minutes versus the 45 for the dishwasher.
Carla, I didn't grow up with a dishwasher either but let me tell you, if you had one in your home you'd really appreciate it. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and do alot of cooking, so when my dishes build up and I'm just too tired to wash, the dish washer really dies come in handy!! When I'm getting my period my health goes down and the dish washer always comes in handy around that time also. I have veen following you for a few years now and I totally recommend you getting a place with a dish washer Lol. You will appreciate it and your kitchen will be dirty dishes free. All you'll need to do is wipe the benches. It really is a great appliance to have in the home. Whether you struggle with washing dishes or your a busy mum. Or a disabled person like me. I lovvvveeeee dish washers!
When i was younger i tricked myself to clean by (i had small children then) picking up on commercial breaks. Then it became habit, and i would do the heavy cleaning mopping and vacuuming one day a week. This has become such a habity adult children and grandkids tell me to sit down. I also pick up on my way to bed at night so when I get up the house is not a disaster! Lol As my father would say blessings on you! Pam
I enjoyed listening to a little bossa nova as you decluttered your quaint, cozy apartment... Having less is so much more satisfying...😊 Nice job... 👏 👏 👏
Just finishing up my week off from work. Besides sitting outside reading or knitting, because the weather was finally cool and not humid, I worked at cleaning and decluttering…it was tough to get myself going but I was spurred on by listening to your videos while I worked. 😊 Not everything got done but when I walk by areas that did get some attention I smile, I know, and it makes me happy! Thanks for all your encouragement and honesty! Give a smooch to Samson!❤
Have you tried wall shelving! Something I’ve learned is if you don’t have a lot of space try going up! Alternatively finding a couch or bench that doubles as storage is also something that can be useful :) Love this video, thanks for sharing the reality of actually living small - clutter is real!
I love samson's stair lift, it's genius. Looking at your apartment, it's not dirty just not got the right storage solutions, as a trial use boxes on their side with a sheet to replicate the storage unit you want and try it out, it want look as good as a real unit but for a trial it will let you see if it works and no money spent. ❤
I have a dishwasher in my apartment and I have never used it! 😂I don't think you have too much stuff, your apartment just lacks storage space. In addition to one or two large storage units, you could also replace small tables with ones that have drawers and closed storage or that could hold large baskets that hide the items inside.

Great job cleaning up for the incoming visitor ❤

Thank you 👍❤
James has been such a hero in the videos at your sister's house but now he has 'elevated' to superhero status!
Big shout out to James for building Samson's stair elevator! How cool!
The truth is, every single time I watch any of Carla's videos, I feel a sense of "I can do this". Thank you
Aww Samson riding up his little stair elevator! I’m crying 😭 ❤❤❤
I really appreciate your "regular clean videos", they show normal life and that is something that is missing lots in this instagram/youtube-world. Thanks Carla! 😊
Thank you Carla for sharing and showing REAL LIFE. One day at a time…
Just for today! That’s all we have 😊❤️
Agreed! I haven't found anyone as motivating as she is.
🥹 Samson’s doggy elevator!!! Omg he is the sweetest

I can go from a tidy home to a mess in just a few days. I know there are people whose homes are always tidy but i have decided not to compare myself with them. I love the stair elevator for Samson. What a great solution.
Finally someone like me 😊 I decided not to compare my home to others also ❤❤❤
From tidy to messy in a few days?
I live by myself and it gets from ok to no in a couple of hours.

You're the best!❤️💖
Because you do declutter regularly, you are able to get things back in order quickly! Bravo!
There's nothing like company coming over to give you cleaning motivation.
Try having strangers roam your house for an open house. My home was a squeaky clean, spotless perfection for a whole week lol best motivation ever!
@@ladyblue4180 Yes, been there and done that too. We will clean and tidy for others, but not so much for ourselves. Wonder what the psychology is behind that?
@@Shiryone I’ve asked myself that as well. If you find the answer let me know!
Same.
@@rebeccaa.3121 Those are things that are important to her! The typewriter is a sentimental piece.
@@rebeccaa.3121 Whoa. This is Carla's home - a real home - not some film set. Be nice.
Love Mac at Midwest Magic Cleaning - he is so supportive of other channels - he is a saint and many people love him.
I got to check out Midwest Magic Cleaning. 🙂
Carla - your apartment IS cute! James is a hero! Samson is like a king on his little transport. Good for you, Carla. ❤
He really is a hero! It’s a lifesaver knowing someone who is so handy. He even fixed my car last month. Amazing!!
My apartment is small and gets like this. I'm about to clean now. I always watch you first. Our housekeeping is very similar.
Hi Carla and handsome Samson ❤
You remember my journey with my dog, he passed away at 19 years, and as they age we do anything to make their lives easier, my house was full with rugs and anything that helps him to be save.
Same!! You're not alone. My house is a hot mess all the time, especially with 3 kids 🤦🏾♀️
3 things: Decluttering, easy acces storage and this mantra: DON'T PUT IT DOWN, PUT IT AWAY.
I looks like you just drop stuff where you are. It is not a daily task, it's an all day task. Just directly put things in their home (or trash).
Once I decluttered my place is easy to pull it back together even if it’s trashed. You are real and that is what I love about you. Love these videos
Exactly! Small spaces especially can get trashed super easily. It’s like a few things out of place and it looks like total chaos, but I can whip it into shape pretty quickly😍❤️
That doggy stairlift is the best. So nice kf James!
Thanks for keeping it real, Carla. Ive been following you for years, it is evident to me how much easier it is to tidy up now that you have assigned spaces for things. You’re making progress, girl!
I‘m sick now for already three weeks and finally getting better 😅, and our home is a mess. Normally I treat myself with one of your videos after cleaning up, but today I just relaxed and enjoyed 😊 Thank you ❤
i love your channel bc it shows how real people live without kids, kids are not the only ones making homes messy or dirty! it's me!
👍 the paint on your bedroom wall is perfect
That doggy escalator is amazing! Spoiled pup! Love to see it.
@The Carla Project , Can you do a review on your portable air conditioner ? Thanks for your great videos . God Bless you .
The doggy chair lift! I love it! 😂
❤❤❤ the dog elevator ❤❤❤ A "how to" for that would be a good video.
I love watching you clean❤❤❤❤❤
Boo! I don’t like summer flus, but I had one too. Lots of gentle self-care and rest. Get well soon.💖💖
Grace- I'm so sorry you're sick. I hope you feel better very soon! 🧡🧡🧡
Please just post a montage of Samson going up and down the stairs. 😊 He looked so pleased with himself.
I think I heard Samson say “I”m king of the world” as he was ascending the stairs in his canine dog lift”
It's a good idea to have a "clutter-basket".
I have my two "drawers of horror". And when they are full, at some point I have to look through at least the top of it. 😉
And then I have the luck to have 2 storage rooms either side of my apartment.
Omg you have no idea how badly I need this video right now! Watching & cleaning my own apartment! ❤️🧹🧼🧽🧺
I'm so glad!💖💖💖
you should put one of those cord wraps on the back of that sideboard in the living room for all the cords you have there.
@SusieQZee I had a dishwasher at one place I lived and used it to store my cookie sheets.
Oh my word Samson riding his little lift the cutest thing ever ! Use my dishwasher all the time Couldn’t live without it .
Please tell James he is a Hero for creating a stair elevator for Samson ❤🐾❤️
I think an armoire would be great for you-inside you can both hang things or just have all shelves. Some armoires have drawers on the bottom and two big doors on top. Then, on the very top of the armoire you can display things -I love huge baskets with a lid for top of the armoire-good place for out of season clothes or blankets. You can also put a bushy plant like a fern on top with some books, and a small light. An armoire would be a focal point for your living room.
That's a good idea! 🙂
Carla! Hope you and Samson are doing okay in this hot weather. Your place looks great! I laughed about Samson refusing to ride down in his doggie escalator, but calmly riding up. Have a great day. ❤
Samson is a happy Dog to have you. I love people that really care for their Pets ❤.
Yay Carla! Hoping you're here to cure my depressions and get me motivated 😅
I’m here for it!!😄❤️
Carla I have an electric typewriter behind my couch 🛋️ TOO ! It was a gift from my mom ( so you are not the only one )
Thank you for another great video.
That doggy lift is so cool
Really like the Timelapse in this video! ☺️
Thanks for sharing your personal space and imperfections ❤
Pam
James is so handy!!! How helpful for sweet Samson to have a lift.
Well done. When my house gets beyond untidy, I generally give up.
Alternatively finding a couch or bench that doubles as storage is also something that can be useful :)
Love this video, thanks for sharing the reality of actually living small - clutter is real!
