Spent many a day here as a child in the 60's, I took my elder children there a year or two ago to revisit. They were blown away being from Los angeles. Magical
My Dad was the young man pushing the sheep into the river in the old photo…..and my Grandfather. They were paid one penny per fleece to wash the sheep ! I have that original photo and it was taken in 1937….the last time we dipped sheep there was 1962 and it was filmed by HTV.
Funny story about that Church yard back in the day when I first started taxi driving with CRESTA CARS in Nolton St..1992 One very early Sunday morning around 3 am I was told to go the church at the back I was told lived an old lady she had lots of cases. So I pulled up left my interior light on and walked around looking for the lady I was so nervious I was chatting to myself like saying I swear this is a wind up next thing 3 of my new work colleges jumped up from behind the headstones. What a PRANK..ha ha ha ha lol
Ich habe die Tour sehr genossen - ich liebe Wales! Grüße aus Deutschland, Konrad.
