Big tables, slender but comfy chairs, comfy, beautifully upholstered chairs w side tables in mini seating groups around the walls.
W all the requisite, exquisite Sarah-layers of rug, wall covering, draperies, table settings..
The most beautiful room she's done. The client was a dream to work with!
It’s interesting that the jr designers always have to acquiesce to Sarah. Even Tommy.
Well. They are their bosses. They don’t listen to them, they get fired, lol.
what a lovely funny lady that owner of the house is, loved the floors. beautiful house, and the final design?, stunning¡¡¡
Glad you enjoyed it
But I didn’t see Tommy’s lobster anywhere in the finished room …
I think this is the most beautiful room they've done.
A show-stopping dining room that is elegant, warm, and inviting. The inspiration fabric is stunning! Now, on to the rest of the house!!
You had me at the big reveal - 17:09…goosebumps and a lump in my throat. This dinning room is the best yet!
Timeless traditional design. A few tweaks and it will look right out of the 21st century. That’s what Sarah Richardson design is all about.
Can't imagine the cost of this room's decor. The carpet and drapes are spectacular! Personally I find the shade on the walls to be too intense. I'd opt for something a bit more subtle.
The table scape is pretty, but the knives are not facing the plate. In a formal setting the proper placement for the knives to face the plate. Historically it meant "I am not at war with you."
How interesting, I did not know that about the knives, specifically, if placed inward, that it meant, "I am not at war with you", thank you, Mildred.
I played it back to see and the knives are facing the plate. ????
What a gorgeous traditional dining room which is yet not stuffy. The drapes and carpet really make the room.
as an artist - framing art to match the room (verses framing to enhance the art) just makes me cringe.
It's really hideous, especially the fabric on the windows ! They clash with everything else. The fourniture and the rug are good. The chandelier needs to be more up, it blocks the light from the window. The walls are too much and the blue chairs really hideous, even for the early 2000's.
How old are these videos?? 15?
Closer to 20, I think.
Fabulous. Those initials on the chairs really add a touch of luxury. Not too keen on the color of the carpet because I think it clashes with the wooden floor. But that's just a personal take.
What an amazing room and I really love Lucy ,lol That wasn't on purpose .I love Sarah and Tommy and the whole team ,what beauty they create .
This is my kind of dining room. Love the wall color, fabrics and the furniture is to die for. The perfect room
Luci made a GREAT choice on the rug -- it's CLASSIC
The room is a dream! My biggest problem with it is the fact that the rest of the house will look completely drab in comparison.
Sarah, This is your best client dining room design, and maybe because Luci is your best client ever!
Sarah is absolutely amazing at mixing patterns. Thank you so much for sharing this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
An AMAZING reveal--- wow! Areal showstopper (no pun intended)--- so elegant but comfortable, with exquisite pieces. I too love the inspiration fabric. And Sarah designs to every detail---e.g., I would have never considered the profile of the picture frames, but she even took that into account. JUST spot-on with every detail, and as Natalie said "this room is so warm!".
Yes, stuff is backordered these days! It's a tough time to renovate, as I'm finding out!
The room looks lovely but I'm not sure it's to my taste.
I do have to ask the question - why do Americans put a rug under a dinning table - it will get ruined by any dropped food/drinks etc
Not American this is Canadian
I would hope that adults would not be dropping food and drinks. The few times that children will be in here it shouldn't matter. Besides the rug is heavily patterned so any mark really won't stand out.
I guess Sarah didn’t use the lobster in the room. Lol
LOVE THIS ROOM!!! Could watch this over and over again and again.
This might be silly, but anyone know what type of dog Spike is? Is he a Shih Tzu?
looks like a shih tzu!
Grand and gorgeous as always Sarah! I love the client she is so gracious!💖
It's a gorgeous room. When she first began talking about orange walls, all I could think was, "God help us!" But the walls are not orange at all; they are a beautiful muted, dusty red clay color. But Rug 1 did go best with the drapery fabric -- I might have changed the wall color for that combo, it was so spot on.
What is the color orange?
Major Wow factor!!!
The eccentricin me loves the butcher paper window treatment
Dear Abode - Is there any way, please, of me finding out where to buy the curtains with the embroidery, please? Or, something similar, please? I really love them. Thank you.
I am not a fan of "gold" picture frames, but the room is so busy I didn't see the frames although I did see the pictures.
Part of the business was the table was fully "dressed"; this is not how the table will look 90% of the time, or will it? If it is it is a housekeeping nightmare.
I absolutely love your channel! 😊
Thank you so much!
I do too! I'm SO grateful!
I wish the client would have allowed Sarah to redo the kitchen as well.
Terrible a flash this & that! I waited until the end & still no proper view ..... even if neighbours.
She used a carpet other than a beige broadloom!!!
Love Love Love this one!!!
Beautiful! Love it!
Great room but I preferred the other rug
Wow, beautiful.
I hate the dining room. It’s so predictably red! I love Sarah’s lighter palette. No matter the colors in a light palette Sarah always makes magic! Edit: I think the table, sideboard and chandelier are gorgeous. It’s just that red!
Love the colors!
Absolutely gorgeous
Breathtakingly beautiful! And the homeowner was lovely and very easy to work with, plus she loved her new dining room. Yay for her
Love ❤️
Absolutely beautiful!
Quietly I really loved the green fabrics - partic for the couch instead of the blue. But so lovely - slightly British too!
Rug!!! Love it
Love it❤️
Just beautiful!
Gorgeous!
beautiful, fresh, peaceful, original, gorgeous
yeah that poor dining room had chandelier envy lol
Beautiful 🥰
Perfect.
Spectacular!!
Spectacular..,
👍🏻Nice 😉
Perfect
Great!
IT'S DARK AND GLOOMY.. EEEWW! You've made the room look small! Furniture are WOW !
Beautiful room, but they got lazy with the curtains, they were dragging on the floor, creased and hanging crocket.. Not the best last impression.
It worked in the early 2000's. It was of a time. I like it.
This curtain style, now, of the curtains draping on the floor, in 2021/2022 is all the rage (of which I have), it must have been the same fashion, when this video was made.
