During the making of the MV, Ten mentioned that it doesn't matter who you date, cuz it's just love at the end of the day.. Such a strong & positive message for the LGBTQ+ community, of which I'm a part..
I think that the best part of this song is the fact that the design aspects, colors, style and all really are Ten's style. All in the song, from the outfits, to the lyrics, to the choreography, to the instrumental really fit him. I've seen people complaining that they would have expected more choreography in the video or a more difficult one, but I think that it's better this way. The song is really summery, happy, vibrant and all for the good vibes, so a difficult choreo would probably be awkward to see. Also, Ten is really an established and well recognized idol as for the dancing skills he has. Everyone knows he is an incredibly talented dancer. But most of the time, people don't really pay attention to or praise his singing the same way. So I am guessing that this is the main reason this song is very vocally centred, a lot more that Dream in a Dream and New Heroes(which BTW isn't what you call easy to sing anyways):for the past two solos he showed how amazing he is as a dancer, in this one he showed us that he really is an all rounder, cause he is such a good singer too. Ok this was longer then I thought, but he is one of my ultimate biases, so there we go😂❤️

Imho: naked me=real me. People can say whatever they want, but you know the true nature of me, and I know the true nature of you as we are open to each other to this extent. And this helps to change luck in our relationship to fate... I love this song and MV so much. Didn't expect anything. I was confused why such title goes with such bright teasers, and then it came out screaming TEN from each frame and everything became clear😹 I am in love with his free, playful and at the same time very invested and hardworking attitude to life. This song helps to inspire it ☺️
His demin outfit with flowers was hand painted by himself..(not sure but the painting seems he did it as well).. ten as a great vocalist, dancer and artists..! Ten is 10.

He's a blank canvas who can reinvent himself because his creativity is limitless. Don't put him in a box or us or try to define us just based off your own assumptions (your as in people)

Summation of the lyrics is good . . . but I'm taking it a level higher in that being that 'naked' relates to ones 'authentic' self. Sure we all have colours to ourselves, our personalities etc. but when you strip it all back we all just want someone to love us for who we really are. We're born naked, not projecting anything other than who we are without any pretence. Love me the way I am, don't colour me with your filters, don't project anything on to me. Ten is the full package. He is his own kaleidoscope of artistry.

This song according to Ten himself is a pretty good representation of how Ten thinks as of right now, circa Ten 2021 lol. He had direct input in *EVERYTHING*. Which is amazing the company trusted him and he dived right in so he's super happy. Also Paint me naked is not a love song (even though it sounds like that at least for the first listen, but Ten said it's ok if we see it like that, since love is love and beautiful) but it is more a song about him shedding other people's clothing or views of him based off of their perceptions or ideas about him and painting himself with fresh colours, being true to who he really is, which when you hear him talk about his art while being interviewed about his Ten x Represent Collab you can fully understand what he means. I firmly hope we get more solo Ten while he's with WayV and SuperM so people can really see who Ten is. Yangyang said this song is so Ten's style lol. He said people at the company were shocked. Ten said he just wanted to have fun on set not the usual acting cool being sexy Ten that people are used to or probably excepted. Same with regards to the choreo. That's why everything is light (by Ten's standards 😂) and fun instead of extreme. I personally love this and realize even more that with Ten his creativity is limitless so we should never know what to expect but irregardless it's gonna be amazing. There's a performance video and dance practice behind the scenes out it's dope. Ten is legit showing us how he can use move effortlessly as a dancer with this song, plus it shows off his vocals and visuals and his artistry. He's a very unique guy and him getting to promote this is legit the best thing ever. We get to see his duality in this song. He's sexy and cute legit Ten lol. The song is also alternative pop rock.

Ten said SM didn't let him use bodypaint, so he designed the chainlink shirt haha, he was super into designing the outfits for this video.
