- OLD SCHOOL SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE(WHITE LILY FLOUR)
3 cups white lily all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 sticks butter room temperature
3 cups granulated sugar
6 eggs large room temperature
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pound cake extract
1 tsp lemon extract
1 cup sour cream (8oz)( room temperature)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F. Butter and flour a large bundt pan or coat with baking spray. Combine the flour, and baking powder in a large bowl, whisk together and set aside.
Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla then eggs one at a time while mixing on medium speed, scraping the bowl down twice or so. Add the flour mixture and sour cream in alternating batches, mixing on low until just combined.
Use your spatula to finish the batter off, scraping the bowl down and mixing any errant sour cream or flour in. Transfer the batter to your prepared bundt pan and bake at 325 for about 80 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean from the center.
Cool in in pan 10 minutes before inverting

Chef I am a cake baker myself I sometimes use cake flour, until one day I was out and tried white Lilly AP Flour and haven't looked back since u can get a 5lb bag of white Lilly for almost the same price for cake flour just a few cents more! Turns out fabulous cakes! ❤😊

I have seen other sites where they swear by this product!!! I hadn't used the flour, but while shopping at Walmart, I noticed that they have other products using their flour, as one of the ingredients.
I decided to try their fudge brownie mix!!! BOY, when I say that I "truly" enjoyed those brownies!!! "Don't judge me, but I ate all of them by myself!!! I am not kidding they were delicious Chef!!! It's something about that flour!!!

I made two cakes with White Lily and it IS amazing! You're right about some ingredients not being readily available. I just recently learned about White Lily flour from a Facebook group I'm a member of. Many of the members simply raved about it. But it's not that easy to find in Metro Detroit, Michigan. My daughter found some at a Walmart near her and a friend found some at a different Walmart location. I had my daughter bring me 4 bags and my friend picked up 6 bags for me. That take me through Thanksgiving.

Mama would alternate occasionally from White Lilly to Martha White or rarer Gold Medal or some “cake flour”, but her main goto was White Lilly
She probably would have added just a littttle milk to thin it out. That’s a pretty stiff batter there which is why the texture looks spongy.
But I’m positive ur flavors are spot on!

White Lily is the ne plus ultra of flour for Southern Baking! Don't even THINK of making biscuits unless it's White Lily! It's hard to find in Dallas, but check out Tom Thumb!
White Lily flour is the only flour I use for baking cakes. Been using it for 40 years
