If this is true why didn't they move it. Im almost positive the skaters wouldn't have stopped him from building a new park then tearing down the old one.. but not beforehand..build the new one first.

The first he found out about it was when loud repetitive noises woke He & His Wife.

Most skateparks like that are only open certain hours during the day. If the park is fenced in (as is this one), the city will usually have someone come lock it up at night and open it in the morning. There don't appear to be any lights so night use is ruled out. Small skateparks like that aren't used every day, either. I doubt there is much noise coming from the park. Robert is just a mean old man who doesn't like to see kids having fun on their skateboards.
Their local government should've put noise softening materials in its design. My local park is in a residential area and they have large plexiglass walls which deflect noise away from homes. I LOVE the skatepark (spend hours there with my kid) but as a resident I'd be pissed off if it were noisy from my backyard.
