The Lamborghini Urus is one of the hottest items on the market in Los Angeles, Miami, and America's flashiest cities. The model has doubled Lamborghini's annual volume and is overwhelmingly a huge success. Why is that? It's because, to most people's standards, it is just as fast as a supercar! It has as much power as the Huracan Performante, and more torque, and even at 5,000 LBS, will run 7:40's at the Nurburgring, a record for SUV's when it was set. At $220,000 before options the super-est of Super SUV's ain't cheap, but when it comes to delivering supercar performance and daily usable practicality, it's hard to argue the math.
Lamborghini North America provided the vehicle, insurance, and a tank of fuel for this review.

Ahhh yes, the car made exclusively for megachurch pastors.
Hello
How are you doing
And Riff Raff.
And up and coming Atlanta rappers
@@Emm2004 where are you from
Lmfao just saw that video 🤣
In a way I wish more companies would make certain features options instead of having them standard, but I also agree it's kind of crazy that a $200k+ Lamborghini SUV doesn't come with radar cruise standard.
That was true the first year. You had to option the "Full ADAS Package," but that is standard now.
@@randymccall393 Ahh.
I mean, that’s awesome that an SUV can put down the same numbers as a regular version C8 Vette, but at $225k compared to $80k, IT BETTER!
Money cant beat physics.
I have Akrapovic on mine (Verde Mantis pearl capsule) and it makes it sound really, really good. Matt is right - it is more fun than a lot of story cars. Mostly due to the 48 volt suspension tuning.
What's it like having money? I bet it's nice
@@JDJD-mw9rr i started from the very bottom. Worked hard for what I have. I feel very blessed. But yes, it is nice.
@@timmietz I wasn't being sarcastic either, if you don't mind, what do you do? Im 32 and an aircraft mechanic, I make good money buy a 240k Lambo is out of the question.
@@JDJD-mw9rr Usually the answer to that question is more than one thing.
@@Talasas more than one income revenue?
maybe I missed you guys talking about it, it looks like they put just as well bolstered seats in the back as they did in the front so while you're carving the canyons with the whole family everyone is not sliding about as badly which I think is a nice touch instead of just 3 row seating in the back.
Hey
How are you doing
How would you like to be seen from space in your SUV?
I saw one today in the Marshalls department store parking.
It looks like a pontiac aztek
Waiting for that Lotus SUV
I’d like to know how reliable the vehicle is? It’s meant to be a daily driver imo, which means durability/reliability is important.
Take it off road, lets see what we can break!
Hey Laurence
How are you doing
Ah yes the happy Lambo days before they got demolished by the Cayenne GT. Porsche doesn’t look like an Aztek with a body kit either.
SUV or not this is still a pure Lamborghini! And that interior... Pure CarPorn. What else could you want for an all-around daily. 😍
I’ve seen 4 of these on the road in the past 6 months here in RI
Hey mate
How are you doing
A set of 23" tires will cost you $3310, plus mounting and all that. Yikes.
After you guys through the big dust cloud did you start talking faster and your jaws going a mile a minute ?
Would like to see the Jeep Grand Cherokee L v8!
Is the LM002 not the first Lamborghini SUV?
Off road is not a suv.
I’ve driven the urus for 2 weeks when the dealer lent it to me, it was not bad but not worth $350000
They never said it was worth that 🤦♂️🙃
I’ve driven a golf GTI.. also not bad.. also not worth 350k.. where are you going with that?
When you want a lambo but gotta please the wife and kids
Isn’t this just a Audi?
A really expensive X6M?
$200 k for the average person? May want to re think that. Lol
@ 5:36 I lost ALL respect for the C8 Corvette....Didnt like it much anyway, I had only given it 5 cool points because its SOOOOOO late to the midengine platform and its a GM product...but a 5000 plus lb. SUV matched its performance?????? C8....you just lost all 5 cool points. I ain' t giving them back either.
it also starts at like a quarter of the price of a urus lol. And goes around the Nürburgring 20 seconds faster. Acceleration and skid pad don't tell the whole story.
I need a one take on a 2014-2018 ml/gl 63 amg. All the other reviews are dogshit.
Hey
How are you doing
I like the Urus but I really need to see it in 10 years, can you imagine the time and money needed for a Lamborghini with an Audi V8. Lets hope these don't end up like Porsche SUVs, junk.
I see old (mostly 2nd gen and some 1st gen) Cayennes more often than the Audi Q7 and VW Touareg. People love those things and eat a lots of miles.
I would be surprised if an Urus can last as long as 1st gen Cayennes have up to now.
👍
I love the color but will be honest the urus looks better in yellow.
are you guys both lefties??
Haters of this car are just broke (sorry)
Yellow cars 🤮
"Automotive bottle service." Perfect description.
Hey
How are you doing
"The first Lamborghini SUV"
What am I fegato alle uova sode
Sincerely
Lamborghini LM002
@@charlielogan8702 go away
The LM002 is NOT an SUV. In fact the term SUV did not exist when it was built. Next thing you are calling a Humvee an SUV!?
@@realitykicksin8755 Blazers and Suburbans were called SUV's in the 70's, and yes the LM002 IS an SUV and was called that in period. Go read all the reviews from the 80's about it.
Correction...Lamborghini has been doing fighter jet since the Reventon. Man is that car still awesome. Love how that design is still carrying on
Nothing beats the reventon tachometer
Matt and Zack look like flys with the matte sunglasses
😂😂
I also live in LA, and yes, for a very high end vehicle, they are everywhere here -- I feel like I see at least one every day. Just today for example I saw two brand new ones with temp plates within 10 minutes of each other.
RDB LA has multiple in their shop at all times. Frequently getting body kits, huge wheels, and other tasteless mods. This car is objectively amazing but is unfortunately made to appeal to those kinds of people.
Same in Atlanta. See many Daily
I really felt the pain when Matt said ‘there’s so much traffic ugh!’.
As someone who is fortunate enough to drive these everyday as a technician, I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt the Urus is an amazing vehicle. Driving everyday, it’s great. Driving in the canyons? Absolutely a blast. The 48V system for the front/rear sway bars, specifically, make it feel like it isn’t 5000lbs+. Kept up with an m2 in the canyons, so there’s that.
Dude.
You gotta do a track day with this on film. Maybe even stack it up against moderate regular cars to prove the performance point.
He did a one take at the press launch in 2019 i think
Are Honda and Lamborghini in a bidding war for that paint for their Civics and Uruses?
😂😂😂
A good car spoiled by the image and the owners. RSQ8 for me.
The URUS AND PORSCHE CAYENNE TURBO GT will wipe the floor with that Audi.
My girlfriend and I jokingly call the Urus the Miami Beach Camry because there are so many of them out here .
Lol do you and your girlfriend have one 😂🤔
Hi Matt and Zack
Thanks for all the great content and the podcasts have been on fire!!! I know Matt had the cayenne turbo GT recently, can us car nerds expect to hear a back to back comparison in the near future ? Got to say looks wise I prefer the cayenne coupe out of all the coupe-styled suvs.
The Lamborghini Urus: For those who have more money than taste.
💯
Isn't the Urus basically the same base as like 20 other cars? Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche...
For people with more money than sense, and no taste. I'll pass.
It is cool, but too much for me. Makes a g wagon look modest
...aww...all taste and no money...sad...
They hold their value pretty good tho
its worse that you got sense but no money.
Hey Matt and Zack. I like Lamborghini Urus engine sound it sounds really good.
Serious question: the Urus vs Trackhawk in bang for buck, comfort and daily driver usage?
Serious question 2: is the Urus worth the premium over the RSQ8?
First question I can’t answer. Second question, it completely depends on whether it’s worth $100k to own a Lamborghini (the head turning, cooler looks, louder exhaust) plus its slightly better performance-wise. I think the cayenne turbo gt will destroy the urus though, if you don’t care about the lambo badge.
Sounds so good in that tunnel 9:46
One Cullinan in six months??? Where does this dude live, Sun Valley? I see probably one a week and one urus a day
I don’t live in California but watching effspots videos you see at least two in every video and those are usually filmed over a couple days, when he said that me living on the east coast I thought that was weird
Matt, you forgot about the LM002. This is not Lamborghini's first SUV.
I dont even wanna know how much a brake service would cost.
I have a friend who's Trackhawk had a $10,000 brake job, and the Urus is definitely more
@@EiteTryHard good grief lol.
@@EiteTryHard There is no way 4 pads + labour cost 10k, thats just a rip off.
@@97MrBlues rotors were required as well as pads. I don't think you know how expensive carbon ceramic brakes are, i've heard of GT3s with PCCB having 14k+ brake jobs when rotors need to be replaced.
@@EiteTryHard I feel like I could find a better deal
Waiting on the off-road test! First the G-Wagon, then the Land Rover, next the Lambo?
*laughs in spaghetti*
I know circumstances dont always allow, but i love the two takes!! Im definitely not the target market but i more than one a week in Michigan and almost never other lambs. Neat to see! People up here seem to like porsches and ferraris
So the acceleration, top speed, braking, and skid pad is "identical" to the C8. Yet the C8 clocks a 20 second faster ring time. I'm not knocking this, it's obviously an amazing vehicle for its size, but it's not quite hanging with the C8 as the numbers imply, it's closer to a C6 z06.
Def. sounds awesome for an SUV, so hats off to them on that one. I can imagine all the celebrities down in LA trading in their G-wagons for one of these, haha.
Lamborghini please, not LAMBORTSCHINNY!
For the discerning customer who needs everyone to know "I'm kind of a big deal", while wanting to drag race the other soccer moms at the grocery store.
But, It's one of the ugliest vehicles on the road. No matter the color.
The perfect vehicle for uber-wealthy soccer moms everywhere when the kids need to get to practice or a game FAST!
If this thing had an NA high revving V8 or 12, it would have been so much more unique........
there is certainly an argument that by making it "worse" with a V10 or V12 from one of their sports cars, it would be a better "lambo" but I think the people buying them don't actually care and would rather it performed better.
To be fair, for a forced induced engine it does sound pretty good, especially with some exhaust mods.
@@TheSmokingTire, a little insider info--Lamborghini was actually looking at using a long-stroke/smaller-bore version of the Huracan/R8 V10 with lowered compression, milder cams, etc. (Longer engine life and better oriented towards SUV duties) sort of like what was done with the V10 S6/S8 (though those V10s had the same bore/stroke sizing as the R8/Gallardo). Power would have been in the mid 500hp range with a redline of 7000-7500RPMs and a slight increase in torque over the Huracan engine (though, notably at a *MUCH* lower RPM and with a much flatter curve).
There were several major problems: packaging, weight, emissions/fuel economy, and towing capacity. The turbo V8 could do virtually all of these better while having a more competitive power/torque figure for the segment and substantially reducing development costs since the engine was already I production. However, I definitely think a N/A V10 version would have been more "Lamborghini" of them.
And also no torque.
Its sister the RS Q8 is just better looking. If i had mad money I'll go for the RSQ8 over this bloated Veloster looking thingy.
You could buy a preowned rsq8, save a shit ton, and then tune it to destroy urus’s
you guys get insane cars in california, in portland, I have not seen a lamborghini urus on the road ever, We do get a lot of nice s classes and 7 series sedans though. My neighbor owns an alpina b7 and my other neighbor owns an rsq8
Florida is pretty good as ..as well as Texas
this is the first time i've watched one of these videos and recognized the road off Assetto Corsa

...no worries...you are not the target market...
Hot damn, thanks for the video boys.
Hell ya…glad to see Zack in this video. His one-take’s are gold
The Urus is a fantastic SUV/car/vehicle. We drove one as lead car for a fun drive for local super cars and sport cars and when those were being piloted by average enthusiast drivers, the Urus was able to set a pace through the backroad twisties and on the interstate they were all happy to follow. Combine that with massaging seats, backseats, and cargo room and it really is hard to beat…if you have the money.
Audi RS Q8 looks better
PLS do the off road trail! I know those videos don't get a lot of views but it will complete the trilogy of the Urus, track, road, dirt!
Lowest common denominator-chasing, vapid asshole target market, platform shared, overpriced monstrosity. The ICE car story has a sad ending indeed. We don’t deserve nice things.
Yellow indicators, American specs 👎 Italian version has the complete front Led without that horrible yellow part. Plus in Italy no way 260k$
More like 320/330k$
Just me or the b roll shots when it was coming towards the camera there was a hint of a supercharger sound..?
imagine this was a wagon.....
dreams die when you see this vw touareg on crack
Seems like the Urus has overtaken the Bentayga in popularity in Los Angles, but I still see a lot of Culinans, which are the ugliest but probably the best overall. Also see way too many obnoxiously-painted G-wagons.
....iiii$hhh Urus might have manual gbox and thus not being just uglier Audiiii.....
Yes I’ll take an ugly SUV that’s 100% German wth an Italian badge
Save your money …Just buy a Audi RSQ8
Cayenne Turbo GT and this will torch the Audi.
@@bentleygucci lol 😂 ok “expert” …I see you know nothing about this platform…they all are basically the same truck same motor different state of tuning as I said months ago save a 120k buy a Audi RSQ8 and tune it. Have a great day 🤙🏾
They have been using this fighter jet style since the Reventon.
Any update on the Ferrari SUV? 🤔🤔
ur buddy mister spaghetti hate these fast suv, he said its dangerous and pointless for these vehicles
I’ll take an LM002 instead
I'm so glad Porsche made the cayenne turbo GT to smack down this thing. Would so much rather have the Porsche.
Its essentially the same car - same engine too.
@@ericvardin5304 yes but tuned by Porsche. Made for drivers not posers. I like the urus but it is owned exclusively by cockbags, just like the g wagen.
@@the-boring-car-guy I'm fairly certain the Urus engine is just the Cayenne Turbo S motor with minor tweaks - Matt even mentions in the video, the 4.0 in this is tuned by Porsche's GT division.
I would say that it's all about personal preference/ pricing, it's almost as if they make different trim levels. Do you want to keep it lower key with an RSQ8, get your Porsche fix with a Cayenne GT, full showoff/footballer mode with the Urus or go full price and class it up and get a Bentayga W12? Basically the same underpinnings (I'm sure the Bentley is the most divorced from the lot) but each has their own flair - I would personally never want an on-road oriented SUV - but to each his own!
@@ericvardin5304 turbo s yes. The turbo GT is even more suped up. And given it's tuned by Porsche, they've gonna save the best mapping for themselves which they have done.
Yep they all share the same chassis however it's not as simple as you pay more you get more since each one is catered to a different market. I prefer the Porsche since it's most performance oriented/mental. If you're getting something silly like a super SUV, you might as well get the craziest one. Porsche just made theirs that.
Can someone tag me in the west side collector cars video that he made that showed the key holding system?
The green color is a bit too bright. Porsche's python or mamba green is better.
It feels like a …. Audi
I wish they made this a wagon off of the RS6 avant instead of an RSQ8 varient.
The car guy in me agrees, but I do understand this will outsell the fictional wagon variant by a significant margin.
@@ztunelover Only because people are stupid, if manufacturers just stopped making SUV's and forced wagons onto people, they'd realize how much superior wagons are in every single way.
@@derbigpr500 every single way? Thats simply not true
15y of therapy lol that works well then lol...
Mat greeted us with a peace sign! A little hippy in him, ride on!
Russell Peters sold his Urus and bought an Audi RSQ8 and said that the two cars are pretty much identical, so you should save yourself the money and just get the Audi. I wonder if he has a point, or he should just stick to comedy.
The point of the Lamborghini isn't to be worth the money its to let people know you have the money.
10:05 Bunch of trash next to a dumpster. People are the worst!
Who makes the sunglasses you guys are wearing? Anyone know?
If I won the lottery I would get a Urus in the copper metallic paint and gold wheels from the Countach LP400S
I always thought the Audi q8 looks like the Urus
Can’t unsee the Audi steering wheel in this car. Might as well save the money and get an SQ8.
