Scientifically speaking, there is no significant difference in maturity between a female at 16 and a female at 18. In fact, full cognitive development doesn’t occur till we reach our mid twenties. So if you’re going to stand on a soapbox and look down at the majority of other guys, based on maturity, you should rethink 18 (or 19) and make that 25.

Did you know half of the US states don’t have close in age exceptions? Which means at 19 if you date someone 17 you can get in serious legal trouble (jail and predatør lists), which is absurd that we haven’t changed those laws in those states. Other states even where 16 is the AOC if you take a pic of yourself you can get in serious trouble too, which is again absurd (and not “protectíng” teens when you consider half of all teens have admitted to s3xting). The ages and legality around the subject is based on ever changing societal norms (and not science). What I stated to you about myself is true, even in high school I was most attracted to much older femałes but while I’ve aged they stayed the same age (around 28). However, I’m not going to ignore the science and belittle other guys. The science is clear and while most guys are attracted to teen females they don’t act on it. Look up hebephilia and ephebophilia, both are not classified as disorders because most men fall in those categories.

No scientific reasoning was made in raising the age, not for physical maturity nor mental maturity. In fact 18 isn’t an age for either of these arguments. Woman are physically capable of giving birth at 15 with no increased risk to mother or child. As for mental maturity, the human brain isn’t fully developed until we are in our mid 20s (in a more recent scientific study, early 30s is thought to be when our brain becomes fully developed).
The problem is when people conflate their religøus beliefs and personal opiníons with socíetal moralíty and force their views on others (what people choose for themselves). Again, my focus is on close in age exceptions (teens with other teens) and not belittling men of all ages that don’t act on their attraction (Even though I don’t personally feel the same because that attraction they have is in fact normal). In any case, you are welcome to your views, you’re just not welcome to your own set of “facts” that contradict the actual facts.

If anyone is wondering, pedophilia is quite specific to pre-pubescent children. The sexual age of consent is an agreed upon norm, some countries it's as low as 14 or 16. In NA we typically associate 18 with the point of maturation where you can give consent without parental approval. It is absolutely the case that males can be attracted to 15-17 year old women, we just all agree that it's ethically wrong (on a lot of levels mostly due to their psychological development at that age), however that is not a pedophile, they are a criminal though and it is SA.
