Awesome combo strike flow. Did GM learn that from his teacher Dr. Go? That one click counter does make sense when you’re trying to stop things quick.
I'm assuming so, that would be a question for GM Casio. It seems like every student that learned privately from SGM Anciong Bacon added to what they were taught. From our private discussion with those that didn't learn Balintawak in a group setting, we don't know who SGM Bacon was teaching when he wasn't teaching in a group setting. Seems like he taught everyone the same art, but differently when it came to private 1-on-1 training.
Salamat GM Casio, looking forward to your approach to spreading Balintawak. You mentioned in your interview that you didn’t learn the grouping system, is it a harder to teach without using it as a template?
That would be a good question to ask GM Casio, feel free to contact him directly on his Facebook messenger (located in the description box below). I'm sure he can give you an answer. From our discussions with other practitioners of Balintawak who did not learn the grouping system, they said, "the grouping system is good as a teaching template for a group of students. But for those that did not learn the grouping system, we learned from random 1-on-1 training."

You're welcome 😊. In the end it's all about how can you combine them into you're own pattern (forehand, backhand, thrust, abanikos, redondo, florete, etc.)

It's important to get the counter hand after No 1 Out of the way. If an opponent would not stop you would need to shove it fast and clean out of the way. (Which looks to come a bit short in the explanation. sometimes he blocks it, sometimes not). Than the drill is cool.nice👍
A lot these older Escrima masters have developed big stomachs, GM Inosanto and GM Bobby, Mark Wiley, GM Ricketts, even Illustrisimo had a growing gut.
