Campamento Tortuguero El Naranjo Clip

Ricardo Villaseñor Llamas is President of Grupos Ecologistas de Nayarit, an environmental group operating the Naranjo Turtle Camp in the municipality of Compostela, Nayarit. The group has been working for 25 years, protecting sea turtles and in the last six months has collected 450 nests, which is nearly double the number for the same period last year. The nests are protected and the hatchlings are released to provide the best possible chance of survival. Ricardo explains how the Turtle Camp operates and the contribution of Playa Hotels & Resorts.
