- Turfmaster is back up and running!! Cutting grass amazing as normal! It did go down on me a few weeks ago for a whole week which SUCKED! It was less than 6 months old when it went down, but luckily covered under warranty (12 months) still. The idler pulley broke on it, completely wore out from the inside out. Once the pulley went, it threw the belt off and timing off which caused blades to collide. Pretty nasty when it happened, minor damage to blades.
Here the Turfmaster handles 2 ft tall weeds and at least 14 inch tall St Augustine grass. First pass is at 5 inches, then 3.5 and Final Cut at 3 inches.

Turfmaster is a beast. Tbh the FJ180V engine is solid. But if you constantly get more jobs of overgrown lawns. I suggest the Turfmaster with the Kohler 224cc engine. That mower is a beast and wont let you down
Yeah it is a beast and great engine! No I don’t do overgrown lawns like this very often. The kholer definitely has more torque and can handle taller grass!
How many lawns a day were you doing with the turfmaster up to when the idler pulley went?
@@PROPERTYSQUADLLC on average I’d say 8/day, 5X week. Guess what?! lol it went again! I actually forgot to post it! This reminded me, thank you!
@@Southernreliablelawncare Thanks for the quick response. $2500 for a "Commercial Grade' mower and the pulley goes that fast? That sucks.
