The great thing about this scheme is that it makes the Tau look like clone troopers
Tau bodies plus imperial guard hostile environment heads= clone troopers
I'm about to start my Tau army, I've always known I wanted white (I loved probotector (contra in the rest of the world)) this is basically what I needed! Thank you!
Great tutorial, but try cleaning up the shade afterwards👍
As always, I'm left in awe after your tutorials, my friend! Excellent work! I'd never have thought to paint white armor anything other than white without these videos!
~ Wolf-brother Methos
this really helps with me who is starting 40k with the tau. wanted to get a good guide on how to paint before I start looking into my own colour schemes. thanks for the videos man
I guess you could say this is a TAUtorial
Saltiest Cake haha haha haha.....No just no
No
Haha my dad told me that when he got me into it.
Great video, despite being a little older. This definitely speeds up the process, while producing very impressive results.
I have a box of Tau figures so your tutorial is very timely and helpful. Thanks for sharing this.
Great tutorial, about to repaint all my Sa'cea sept into Vior'la and the process has been helpful to watch.
I'm going to give something like this a go tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration!
Wonderful video :) You've saved your order of color and made the lighting very good. It's nice to show you every painting and explain how to do it. This is invaluable for beginners modeling. Make more videos as you have time.
YOU MAKE THIS GREAT!
P.S.Sorry for my english is not very good, excuse me for this.
Another great tutorial my friend
Awesome video. Model came out really good
These videos are very useful. Definitely subbing!
Great work!👏🏻👏🏻
It's very nice my friend love your whites
Thank you, I love it!
Would really like to see how you would do the sa'cae sept armour for tau
Awesome model dude
How would you paint the dark red clothes of the Vior'la as they are displayed in the Tau Empire Codex?
Super helpful, thanks!
I had so much tau as a kid. I painted them in a tan and green colour.
cool model dude!!
Hey TheApatheticFish,
can you actually use that scheme for all miniatures of the Vior'la? or do you need much more/different colors?
You make it look so easy
Good tutorial, man.
Clear and quality please do more colours
Thanks for the comment!
great video, thanks. 👍
Very good video!
Amazing vidz,do some bad moons orks, there a yellow colour scheme it be really appreciated
awsome tutorial
Awesome work as usual mate :)
nice vid very help full!!!
Ever great!
Great tutorial! The best way to paint and play a white army. I painted my army with the old Vior'la colours (green + red) .. too sad I didn't see this video before painting my army .. :(
Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
very nice!
very cool
Well time to break out the simple green and redo my Tau to make them prettier
i primed mine with grey primer. then i based with white and then i layered with ulthuan grey
great!
do khorne possesed
How do you keep the white so smooth? I always see all the brush marks in mine
FYI under "Colors used:" I think VGC Bright Brass should be VGC Bright Bronze!
How much whiter is this primer you used compared to the citadel corax white?
Can we get a paint list? Nice work
is it possible to get a good white shade if you spray it black?
thx mate
White yellow and all black armies just a pain in the ass to paint for me
Спасибо , очень крутой покрас . Млжет даже буду тау , а не космодесант собирать.
But I don't have citadel I have army paints which colours do I need to use
How long do you wait before painting over a layer?
can someone tell me where the appropriate height and place of the shoulder pad is?
Hey man can you show how to paint empire ostland men
Why do you use layer Ulthuan when you can base it first with Ceramite White or vallejo equivalent?
Владимир Горячёв only use the pure white colour like Ceramite for highlights, because a whole model at peak white lacks some depth
What do you use to hold the model?
Kind of dumb question, but how do you thin out the paint?
I challenge you to paint any model of your choice, but with only 5-8 colors. :D
I'm just getting into this hobby, and I'd like to know what that thing is you're holding onto at the bottom. thank you for the great videos
danny woodward I'm not sure what he uses in this, but I use the lid of a citadel spray bluetacked to the Base of the model
Pretty sure it’s an old citadel paint
take a empty paint bottle and just put blue tac on it to hold the model. If you don't have a empty paint bottle something along the size of that. There are things you can buy as well.. but to begin the blue tac/paint bottle is fine.
I just had someone ask yesterday to paint their whole army like this
I have T’au
Do I need to use primer on figures? (I havent bought anything yet but I think about it) And if u need to use it what exactly does it do?
Yes. ALWAYS prime your figure. Read the following link for more info on priming.
www.gunpla101.com/gunpla-primer-101/
Duerf i love tau and gunpla kits
Yeah Gunpla are great and they keep getting better. I wish we have the quality of Gunpla in GW models. A Master Grade Ghostkeel or Riptide would be GREAT. Hell, I'll take a model of a Tau grunt any day.
do bloodthrown of khorne or khorne possessed
Ha i like the word donut-shaped XD
I don't really like using that much of agrax earthshade but otherwise great video
don't play tau myself but great all the same
is the shade a wash?
Had a question - I'm using a grey primer, what paint colour should I use to base the White in this case?
Marcus Dawe a coat of celestra grey. Then cover it over with the ulthuan grey
Thanks!
question for you i know its silly but what do you have your model on
an old citadel paint pot. Stuck in with poster tack
What is that thing where the miniature sticks to?
No Pants primer
Looking to paint up my first army.
After the initial $180ish investment, I now have to purchase $50 dollars in paints. woo
just buy vallejo model colors, they work fine and are cheap
McKendry2 welcome to 40k
How do you recommend watering down your paint
Get a palette. use a brush to transfer paint from the pot to the palette. dip your brush in water and mix it with the paint until you have the desired consistency. If you use a dry palette you will need to keep checking your consistency because it will dry. You can use a wet palette to keep the paint wet.
Is this possible with black primer?
Raul Tejada Yup.
I the video is great
why did u paint the symbols? u could just place the ones that are included in the box
those moldiness tho
What kind of accent do you have? I listen to your videos to help fall asleep.
can u do instead of agrax earthsade nuln oli?
Yeah, no reason why not
Using Nuln Oil should give you a slightly 'cleaner' look to them
I recommend getting two fire warriors, and trying each shade colour, and seeing which you like best
had the same idea, while it works on the bigger mech units - for my taste it looked awful
so i have this 1 bad looking firewarrior now :D
Ah yes. The Downstone pigment.
why did you paint on your thumb nail
Accidentalty i primed it black... -_-
More commercials!
Is pathfinder tau not fire Warriors what de fuck
I've watched your channel for years but you pronunciation of one single paint still bugs me haha. DAWNSTONE not DOWNSTONE
Bruh~ thin your paint.
Jesus... get better primer lol.
Actually looks like it took you 12 minutes to paint, all the details are gone from not watering down paint properly
Dislike for the commercials
