Good video. I had a 996 turbo w/ stick & now have a 997.1 turbo with Tiptronic. Love it!
I own the same car 2008 tiptronic with exhaust up grade and love it, instaled 1 cm/10mm Spacers in rear wheels and the car look improved a lot! the heritage of the Porsche Turbo will stand for ever!
@@danielsonscott3038what exhaust did u go with I’m underscore between a few makers and set up. Thx

Thank you Tom. Which one do you enjoy more?
Glad you did the exhaust upgrade. Which exhaust did you get?
Another great clip,
Great to see 2 different Porsches,
And the drives
The turbo in blue was awesome,
Can i ask what sort of price you would look to pay for the turbo in that condition
Thank you Mark, appreciate it. We paid about £43k for the blue turbo and sold it for around £48k from memory. They don’t come that cheap often as the manuals are worth top money now
Is the s much better to drive than the turbo?
The power delivery is different but handling wise pretty similar
@@InvictusMotors so should I save 50k and just get the s?
@@Tsl4Lf I am the owner of the Turbo shot in the video and I used to own a 997.1 C2S. This definitely feels heavier than the 2S. Both cars are brilliantly nimble, but the C2S front end moves and is more exciting, whereas the turbo feels quite laser guided at the front end. Power delivery between both of course are different, the torque helps of the Turbo and the power seems way too much for London roads. However, the C2S power delivery is brilliantly fun too, and more manageable around London as in you get to make it sing more often. Whichever one you go with you will love, but do get the exhaust done, C2S with a Gundo hack (£300-400 only) or an exhaust on the Turbo makes the whole experience better as you can enjoy the car at sensible speeds due to the sound coming from the exhaust. Hope this helps
They have a gorgeous Speed Yellow C2S, factory aerokit with exhaust and a bunch of GT3 upgrades on sale on their website, very rare car and I don't think it will lose any money too
@rao3352 thankyou. Seems like I will save an extra 50k and ho with the s over the turbo.
@@MotorDynasty Hi Rao, how do you find the maintenance costs of them?
I'm probably a bit young for a 997.1 turbo but have wanted one for a long time. Am looking at a Cobalt Blue/Atlas Grey one currently and have made some offers. But what has gotten me worried is the potential maintenance associated - Front Cross-over Coolant pipes, PASM shocks are at the age where they are quite corroded and may need replacing (Bilstein B4s I believe), I spotted a small coolant leak around one of those plastic elbows at the rear which I've heard is an engine out job. And when the engine is out then it's a case of potentially replacing engine mounts and this and that etc.
So I'm currently in deep debate with myself in getting this or something cheaper and easier to run, like a 981 Cayman S for now and once I've matured (i.e. my earnings) then I'll get the 997.
What's with the wait 6 sec before starting comment at 6:34sec ?? just curious?
It’s for the oil level
Probably RSJ
this is the most boring 997 turbo video ever. sorry guys
Thank you for letting us know, and we will try to make it better for the future videos
