Like everything else on the mpc, its badly implemented and whacked… why cant you just also sample to a pad and for it to stop recording when you hit the pad again… without having to hit the stop in screen. Also why is sampling only in time, why cant you set in beats, measures… so many great ideas, but half baked delivery is the new mpc story!
@@SoundsAndGear its a bummer they didn't look at all the good stuff in JJOS 2xl and the 4000 and started there... with all the power, this machine could have killed every function in past units... even the multi midi took for ever...
@@yvesbajulaz I owned a 4k for many years, still my favorite of the older MPCs., but is is not matching the workflow of the new devices. Even though it has some cool features the new one's don't. The 4k, and a 2500 or 1000 with JJOS is still available for those that prefer that workflow.
@@SoundsAndGear what I mean, is have all the cool stuff of the old with the new improved one... and add bunch more cool things... in the new one, still too many bugs and workflow problems... simple things, like in the audio tracks, you can cut a perfect beat/bar loop but you can't export or do anything with it... expect paste it in same track... or put a track to something else than seq, and it will loop but not all the automation you may add... the copy and paste is whacked... and you can't simply select all events except by dragging on screen and so on, got such a long list... if they would just stop for a bit and fix all this stuff then it would be out of this world. Kind of like apple did with OS Leopard, Jobs got em to clean up and fix all the crap!
@@yvesbajulaz Yeah I hear ya, there's definitely some stuff that could be added. However, I still think they are the best hardware line on the market currently. I'm a huge audio track user, I wish they would unlock it to allow more than 8 tracks in standalone for example. I'm sure we all have our wishlist, but even still, there's no denying how good they are in my opinion.
