Ive never heard a hen sound like that trumpet just saying!
But whatever works.
A trumpet sounds different at a distance than it does close up. It called the birds up the ridge, proof that it worked.
Trumpets never sound good up close, it’s extremely hard to get a good soundfile up close for one. But at a distance they carry and ring through the hollows. I can promise u turkeys love them, especially hens. They came didn’t they? 😎
Yes Trumpets and Wingbones sound great from a distance. Very mellow natural sound.
