I remember the first Time i heard this song. 8 years old, on the ride home from costco in my dads toyota truck. I remember stimming to it, enjoying myself and being able to calm myself after the overstimulation of Costco. Undiagnosed ADHD, little me was starting to get used to these new feelings and urges. Music was the best form of comfort for me at that time. This song, had the best sound’s to it at the time I could have sat in that car with this song on forever and never get bored. Even know, almost 10 years later, I still get that same feeling that I did when i was just a little kid. I can’t explain how much this genre of song shaped my brain and childhood.

Hawkypou those kaleidoscope parts in the video is close to what the hallucinations are. Like when you stare at grass or trees they tend to move like a kaleidoscope. Even the beetles mentioned it in LSD "kaleidoscope eyes". This video seems like they got their inspiration by tripping in the desert and it started in the day but ended at night. The only thing that helped them not have a bad trip was the campfire because the overwhelming darkness made them anxious. Just a guess though

Unlike so many other bands that are terrified of change, these gentlemen embrace change because they know that without it they will die.
Bands are terrified of change because every time they do it a bunch of fans turn into hulking rage-monsters and start sending them death threats and refusing to ever buy another song again. I'd say most of the blame lies in obnoxious fans that don't want to leave their comfort zone.
