    AHHH! I'm trying my best to get these Thursday, Sunday videos out by 10am every time. Had to come home from a fishing trip to do a minor edit, so sorry for the delay today!! Got the fish though :)

    My neighbor was a fisherman his entire life, passed away not that long ago and he gave me a interesting tip on using shrimp as bait. He said cut them in half length wise and you can get 2 times more bait. You can still run them through the hook and they look almost identical to a full shrimp.

    My favorite fisherman on UA-cam! Always honest and ALWAYS gives consistent and helpful tips in Every video. Your a great guy! I bet If you tried you could probably get a club or a youth group going in your area and help people by getting them out to do some fishing!

    I began watching this channel mid summer 2018 and stopped after like 3 months; came back to the channel last week and have been watching the large backlog of vids. Really neat that this channel has grown so much and it feels nostalgic because I enjoy the vids just as much as I used to.

    the only thing that worries me about you doing a Thursday and Sunday schedule is burn out. Pushing yourself to make videos constantly even on slow or no bite days can take a toll on ya. Not to mention when it's no longer fun it reflect both the content and the content creator. There's a charm with your videos and I dont want to see that go away anytime soon.

    I think you should keep posting especially when you don't hook up. It helps to show your trouble shooting and thought process. Not to mention, it's more realistic.
    When I fish for an hour without getting a nibble, I get discouraged since it looks like every youtuber hooks up every cast.

    its nice seeing more people finally release fish, and yes post the videos if you don't catch things the videos are great anyway. more release do your part to keep fish in the waters for the young to grow up getting some. its takes year for fish grow to a age where they can reproduce. help keep the outdoors wild.

    If you think the video didn't turn out interesting, don't worry, no pressure. Just post stuff when you're satisfied with it. I honestly watch the videos for the catch and cook, you preparing food on the spot :D. It always makes my mouth water. Remember that you still have a lot of people who watch you for just the fishing, not especially for the results :). I don't mind fishless videos from time to time :D.

    Changing beaches isn’t always necessary, as long as you’re willing to hike the beach you’re on. We usually fish 50’ at a time. They’re usually some where in there.

      @@FishermansLife that is a commercial pot. It's probably buried a few feet in the sand. Happens after a big swell. If you do manage to get it there will be an orange tag with a name and phone number

    10:16, that tag has CDFW (California Department of Fish and Wildlife) designation. It’s worth either leaving it in the water or contacting fish and game about it. The tag is dated 2019 so it might have been in there since then

    I’ve never heard them called “soft shell sand crabs” before. On the east coast we call them “sand fleas”
